All these Canelo fans coming out with excuse after excuse . Benavidez is going to stop Canelo and make Canelo take a 1-2 year hiatus after the embarrassing loss. Canelo is a old 32 years old and his workrate is trash, he can knock out the Caleb’s, Billy Joe’s and Callum’s of the world but Benavidez is a whole different animal. He isn’t there to lay down

So let's see it... There's pros and cons for each side in this matchup, and they're mostly obvious. Canelo's IQ and counterpunching vs David's size and volume. Canelo doesn't like the matchup because things will get scary for him if the fight goes long where he starts to fatigue, and Benavidez is still marching forward with his combinations. It could look exactly like Cotto/Margarito 1.

Man, Thats false. Benavidez let his guard down a Lot of times in his fights, i can show You that in each fight. And Canelo gasses out in every fight. All fighters have flaws. Idk the logic with fans like you. the problem with Benavidez is volume and chin. he's a high volume fighter and seems to have a good gas tank He's basically Margarito in his prime. He will put you on a treadmill on incline for 36 minutes straight. Canelo will go empty very fast. Margarito got beat up by just about All The great fighters.

He was squared up and off balance and a freakin 21 yr old at the time. He's been hit flush since and hadn't even blinked.

Thats a Bad example. Canelo had the body of a kid in that fight. Benavidez was in prime with the strong of an adult. Canelo never was hurted when he was a real adult in 25-27 years. And canelo proved against the bigger k.o artits he can eat great power. David never did it. He is not tested in many senses. Remember canelo has a high k.o ratio in 168. Canelo was 20 years old when he fought Jose Cotto and Benavidez fought Gavril at 21 years old, the age discrepancy is next to none. And to be fair at that point specifically of the career of Canelo is not the best example, considering he fought Amir Khan, Liam Smith and and Chavez Jr, he had better opponents earlier on against Miguel Cotto, Lara, and Kirkland at 23-25 years old. The biggest punchers Canelo faced are: -Daniel Jacobs (81% KO ratio) who stopped knocking out fighters after facing Golovkin 3 years before fighting Canelo. -Kovalev (85% KO ratio) a light heavyweight whom for some reason is disregarded after beating two prime Champions in the same year in Eleider and Yarde, the latter being considered by Eddie Hearn to face Bivol. -Golovkin (93% KO ratio) whom he faced two times and were fiercely competitive with questionable outcomes until the third rematch. Take into mind that Benavidez hasn't been rocked ever since after Gavril against KO artists in: -Roamer Alexis Angulo (85% KO ratio) who should had beaten Edgar Berlanga and Sims Jr. -Anthony Dirrell (75% KO ratio) who beaten Rubio and Caleb Truax. -David Lemieux (84% KO ratio) who defeated Rosado, and Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam. Lemiux did lost to Golovkin and Billy Joe Saunders, but he is one of the best examples of a heavy hitter. Canelo's resume easily washes over Benavidez which he is turning 26 years old this December. None of these fighters he faced are all hall of famers, but they were ranked at the top of super middleweight and of all them were in winning streaks in their prime. But at 168 Benavidez holds all the advantages on Canelo whose fighting above his weight limit. He has the stamina to apply pressure throughout the twelve rounds, he has height and reach which is above the average super middleweight being even larger than Kolavev in actuality (6'3), unlike Bivol he is able to crack and has abnormal speed for someone his size.

I think David Benavidez beats Canelo Alvarez.
