I rewatched the fight on the arena angle view at this link https://youtu.be/fcX7KS0dPgw
I wasn’t paying attention live and thought canelo dominated, rewatched and canelo gassed out sooo hard second half. You can definitely make a case for giving golovkim rounds 6 and 8-12.
lomenchenko was right that he fought like he was injured though, barely ever threw the right hand but the lead hand was on point.
i watched it in the morning on youtube from someone in the crowd, canelo swept the first half and golovkin the 2nd, could of easily been a draw if you give Golovkin the benefit of the doubt in all the close rounds, i think the scorecards were surprisingly fair though 7-5 canelo is fine, but as you see the usual suspects on here desperately trying to claim it wasnt close at all, just like how they claimed that the first fight wasnt a robbery and was actually a canelo win! and the 2nd fight wasnt close either, golovkin got totally battered and dominated remember? :lol1:
Lol it honestly bums me out to see people try to convince themselves it was a competitive fight when it wasn't. Father time in undefeated.
Don't you say Ward-Kov was an either way fight? Lol. The irony lolol
It reminded me of Froch-Ward, Thurman-Garcia, and nearly every Lara fight. Where one guy gets a lead and is the better man early, but gives away rounds late and makes it a close fight on the cards.
To get GGG to 6 rounds, you'd have to give him 4 of the last 5. Not impossible, but a little strong probably. It was more like 3-2 GGG. You'd also have to give him one of the first two and round 6, not impossible either. But to do all of that is very favorable.
4 to 5 rounds is probably right. 6 is a bit much but possible. 7 is just trying way too hard.

It’s called man crushes
Canelo won, around 116-112. The thing is though, Golovkin gave so many of those rounds away by letting Canelo do very little and edge rounds. When Golovkin got going in the last 4 rounds, he was the better man, even well, well, well past his best as he is now. I think it's time he walks away and spends his money now. Absolute monster at his best. Cash in
Could have, would have, should have, does it matter?? it happened GGG away gave the initial eight rounds and had competitive last four rounds.
Being Competitive doesn't get you a draw when you didn't do enough 2/3 of the fight. Whether it is due to his gameplan, new trainer or age it doesn't matter when GGG was the one who made those choices. It happened now for the love of God don't try to entertain that idea of making a Quadrilogy.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha
i didn’t bother looking at it that way

Golovkin performed better vs Alvarez than most of his recent opponents besides Bivol.
He lost the fight, but he performed well. I think people have been dramatic regarding his performance.
He was beaten, but he was competitive. And was strong in the second half of the fight.
I am not quite sure he 100% threw caution to the wind, but neither did Alvarez. It was a good fight, high level.
as much as i wish it was close or a draw, but it wasnt! and i was rooting for GGG to win, i wanted to come and make fun of canelo and his fans on here but i cant lie to myself either. G did not win that fight and no, it was not close to being a draw. to be nice, G won 3-4 rounds at the most.
Golovkin controlled him with the jab in the 2nd half and canelo was tired as shit in a very bad way.
back in the day Willie won a famous round by not landing a punch, only with skills of defense. Golovkim outlanders controlled, showed more technique and canelo was more warn down. Golovkinnever threw his right but still got the rounds. He still won the rounds with the jab, boxing, defense, and canelo poor stamina visibly showing with much less skilled displayed.
I had 7-5 Canelo. The redhead fraud was finally able to get a victory over GGG after ducking him for half a decade. But I do think Canelo won enough early rounds to pull the fight off before losing 4 of the last 6.
Nah , as much as I wanted GGG to win, he didn’t
115-113 wasn’t an awful card though, You can definitely make a case for him winning rounds 9-12. He also won round 1, Canelo missed every shot that round and GGG won it on the jab. So there’s 115-113.
Cant see any other round he won though
