It's like he has to land 30 hard punches and only take 2 jabs and people will score it an even round
It's a shame people got so caught up in the emotions with him, on both sides, and have no idea to even score what they are seeing.
If you're going for just punch counting I can see your point but gggs jab lacked the sting tonight and it didn't counteract the stinging punches scored by canelo in a points tally
So it was far easier to score the fight in favour of canelo and he won the early rounds quite clearly for this reason to me
I just still saw some good snap on the jab from GGG, that's always his default punch, and I see the opponent's head pop back when he lands it, so it's easy to score.
Not really punch counting but I keep enough of a tally as I'm scoring. Yeah I'll have to rewatch tomorrow or something with clear eyes and see how it goes. Tonight I was mainly just watching. It was a tactical battle for most of the fight, could definitely see Canelo winning that battle but I didn't see a dominant show.
Idk man I just didn't see a clear output/landing edge for Canelo in any round really. It played out early like a cagey match, and I think a lot of rounds were another case of volume by GGG vs the big shot(s) landed by Canelo.
Honestly it's at the point where I hate any GGG-related fight because the scoring on them is so crazy to me. I just don't follow the logic, but thanks for the feedback

Didn't dominate but edged the early rounds by several punches or big moments
ggg would give something straight back or throw 5 or so jabs to even out the big punch on the scorecards in the first and second fight ...this fight he took the eye catching punch and backed off and sometimes in the ten second pause of action he would take another eye catching punch
I wouldn't say he was dominated but he was outclassed tonight and the rounds were far easier to score in favour of canelo
I had golovkin winning the first two fights
It's a shame to see him decline so much but he will always be a far better fighter than canelo in my eyes

Close and not close rounds all go to Canelo by default.
Just think it's ridiculous they're saying it not by what the judges had it but as if it were a consensual solidified fact
Surely the commentators know bivol won 11 rounds minimum
So Canelo dominated the first two rounds? I'm just wondering what you guys were seeing, honestly

Gave ggg 4 rounds
It's almost like he was given a large some of money to not start fighting until the 8th round
Love how the commentary said bivol lost the first 4 rounds in this fight ,thats running with a narrative its all corrupt

Nah, I thought GGG won the first fight clearly, the second fight 7-5, but this time he won 3 rounds max, likely only 2. Face it, he’s well past his prime. Took far too long to get going.
Anyone saying Canelo was dominant in 7+ rounds, I just don't know what you're watching. I just literally have no idea how you guys try and score fights. It's like you guys are in a bizarro world.

If anyone wants a tutorial, watch Round 2 tonight, without sound, and score the punches. Canelo probably edged it because of a big shot he landed towards the end of the round, but it was by no means a blowout round. It's like people don't even watch fights and just run with narratives lol
