That was very courageous and he did well for 4 rounds but he ultimately got knocked down.
Both Kahn and AJ were overhyped
All the British fighters are overhyped. They actually believed fat ricky could touch Floyd
Khan moved up two divisions to fight Canelo. That's alone greater than AJ's career.

Two British hypejobs. A Mere Con has a far better resume tho.
Does he? Joshua held 3 titles and beat Klitschko, Povetkin, Parker, and Ruiz.
Even Kahns knockout loses are worse than AJ losing to Ruiz.
Joshua humble? :lol1:
He disrespected and tried to destroy the belts which didnt belong to him, then went backstage and threatened to beat up a random old man who told him to keep it professional.
Then broke down and cried in the post presser to act like a victim. I see others on here trying to blame others for not trying to protect AJ when' he's been protected his entire career
I was employing the use of irony...
Both made huge fortunes off Olympic medals, clever marketing and careful matchmaking.
Both were very average in terms of pure ability.
Khan had speed, Joshua was humble. Both were chinny.
At least Khan had heart.

But sure how you can say AJ has no heart .
im no fan off aj but he definitely gives his heart in these big fights..
It's why I presume he had a wierdo reaction. Afyer the fight cause he gave his best.
brat.dude not need to be knocked out to see he gave his all

In the UK, we had race riots in the north back in 2001. White council estates vs pakistanis. Then we had the london 7/7 bombing. Amir Khan was badly needed as a british pakistani/muslim role model and someone who would symbolise and represent the good of british multicutralism and intergration.
He did very well as a 17 yr old to win the Silver medal and then after that he became a media darling for a while.
The 'hype' itself only comes as a consequence of becoming a somebody which helped him earn more money than someone at his level should have been on eg if he was a generic white or black silver medalist he would not have that kind of profile at that time. This is back when boxing in the uk was in a dark age.
Now AJ came up right after the 2011 riots and once again like amir, became the perfect representation of multicultural britain. Except he was a gold medalist and the real deal.
Whilst amir khan never avenged a loss, at least AJ beat ruiz and rematched Usyk (performed better but still not enough).
AJ being a 'hypejob' is what brought serious money into boxing after floyd mayweather's looted the sport and fanbase, handing it over to the ufc by being the utter boring b4stard that he is.
All the aj vs wilder talk kept it going and kept it interesting. it led to dazn's entry which shook things up in the US and then the whole thing 3ith wilder cherry picking fury to get thqat 50% against aj.
basically most of the entertainment in boxing, the drama, has come because of aj. furthermore, guys like chisora are about and entertaining because there's more money in the sport and he has a fanbase who are matchroom fans and londoners who extend that support to chisora.
Neither of them. Not being the absolute best in your division doesnt = fraud.
Amere Con constantly talked about how great he was
Take away the Maidana fight and there's nothing left.
Both had good carers both had at least one classic war to be proud off, Maidana for khan and wlad for aj. And both had soul crushing defeats,
it's a shame the defeats these days make top fighters bums, again both had good careers, Joshua might have more left but we shall see.
Khan got exposed for his chin pretty early in his career with the Prescott fight. It took longer for AJ's weaknesses to get exposed with the Ruiz fight. So I'd say AJ is the bigger "fraud" in that sense. But neither fighter is a legit "fraud" as they were both still world-class British talents that ended up falling short.
