Mostly Joshua for
Not using his size and reach to bully Usyk, and
having McCracken in his corner
It is sometimes difficult to say since some players are more in control and tell the trainers what they want while the trainer is happy to follow and collect his cheque. Whether it was AJ or McCracken, AJ stepped in with the wrong style in the ring and had no plan B to follow. He is also gun shy post the Ruiz fight and more defensive in nature but that's more on AJ rather than his trainer.
This thread is exactly the issue with modern boxing fans.
Finding a way to blame someone for the loss rather than giving credit for the win.
And you wonder why fighters protect their 0. It's been marketed as the only thing that matters and you fell for it.
Exactly. Well said
The trainer can't win them a fight but can they lose them a fight?
The fighter is 1000000000+% for the outcome.
Like I typed, no trainer is going to win (or lose for that matter) their fighter a fight.
Fighters get credit for winning, they sure as hell deserve the blame for losing.
These are professionals. They know what it takes to win and no trainer is going to win a fight for them.
If a fighter doesn't feel like putting in work during training camp, what is the trainer going to do ? Fire the fighter ?

32%. The other 68% lays on Joshua's fake hard man persona. He doesn't have the grit to go to the trenches.
Will be interesting to see if he has it for this fight coming up

Joshua clearly fought the wrong fight. This wasn't just a fighter beating another one.

Blame? That's a weird concept when someone loses a high level fight.
I could understand blame being assigned to Tommy Morrison's loss to Bent, or Tyson's loss to Douglas.
But a high level mandatory? Nah there's just a winner and loser.
Was it more McCracken or AJ just not being at Usyks level ?
- - More like U don't understand boxing to ask such nonsensical questions.
AJ chopped Usyk into mincement. Blame goes to Usyk in the 10th rd for popping AJ eye...duh...:duh:
:sucks:
