Bradley's commentary has become extremely biased lately. Last night I heard him say something about Robeisy Ramirez that just was wrong to say. He was commentating on how Ramirez beat Stevenson in the Olympics, and he put down Ramirez to big-up Stevenson. I'll quote what was said: Tessitore: Ramirez is the last man to defeat the current unified champion 130 pound champion Shakur Stevenson. That was in the 2016 Olympic finals. Now Ramirez is 28 years old. This is his eleventh pro fight.
Bradley: Well, you see where Shakur Stevenson is now.
Tessitore: Yeah. On top of the world.
Bradley: Ahahahahahahahahahah Yeah. Okay. That's cute. That's cute.
Tessitore: Hope you felt good about 2016. Meanwhile, the other guy is a rocket ride on the P4P list.
It sounded as if Bradley was triggered. And Tessitore too, alhtough I think he said that because of Bradley's reaction. And I've seen him say other things that are just more and more biased. Bradley has the annoying habit of cheerleading for one fighter instead of just commentating. Andre Ward is much better at keeping things neutral. The only time I hear Ward become biased is when Stevenson fights, which is understandable because he trained Shakur for a long time.
I also heard Bradley call Haney's boxing beautiful. You can say what you want about Haney, but that performance from Haney against Kambosos, though efficient, was anything but beautiful. When you clinch, hold and duck every round of a fight, every 10 seconds, that is the antithesis of "beauty." It's an ugly way of fighting, stalling the flow, taking not only the opponents fans out of the match but taking your own fans out of the match. No matter what anyone says, if you consistent break the rules of the fight, you are making it an ugly fight. If low-blowing your opponent over and over again is considered making the fight ugly, so too is clinching, holding and hitting.
He also recently said that Tank Davis doesn't have a chance against Haney, and that if you take Lomachenko's angles away, he's ordinary. Hearing these things from Bradley is just mind boggling. If all Loma had were angles, he would have had a near perfect amateur record or have been able to consistently beat champions at higher weight classes. That's not ordinary, and that's not occurring just because of taking an outside angle.
So I don't now what Bradley is on, but he needs to put the pom poms down because he's the backlash will be even bigger than it has been lately.
I just wanted to vent this because I thought it was just uncalled for to have to get defensive on the fact that Shakur lost to Ramirez in the Olympics. Ramirez doesn't even talk about it, so why get defensive? And why cheerlead for particular fighters when they fight? Doesn't he realize that there are fans of both fighters watching? I like Bradley a lot but this shit has to stop because of how off-putting it is.
He’s a Top Rank puppet but when it comes to comparing two TR fighters, you know which one he’s going to pick. He is very biased, it’s like he’s an announcer just on his name alone because I have never really heard a great performance from him announcing. He’s always making some wild, over the top comments and making little noises.
Good description. He sucks big time.

Yeah. I totally agree. It's a dream team over there. I singe up a couple weeks ago and I'm glad I did. For sure.
Yeah good deal. For only 2 bucks, why not? They better not pull a DAZN and jack up the price though.
Tim has always been a tier two or three throughout his career, an afterthought in the scheme of the tier ones in his time. Pac was robbed, the Marquez fight was nothing notable. The guy has a lot of jealousy for the guys who have made it better than him or are on their way to. Bradley is a pussy and the main house shill for Top Rank. Not an Alpha.
One fighter Bradley can't stand is Gervonta Davis. It's been a few years now. Calling Gervonta "that little guy," when analyzing Haney fights against Loma and Davis, was so totally unprofessional. Gervonta should call him out on it. Maybe spar 6 rounds?
That's why I've always seen an Uncle Tom in Tim Bradley. Not the good side of Uncle Tom either.
Lol. I can understand that. I'm not going to completely crap on Bradley because I think he's a good guy overall, and he does take pride in his work. HOWEVER! I feel you man. It's not just Tank either because he shits on Loma when he can. Not that he can too much because Loma is with ESPN and Top Rank, but when Loma was fighting Lopez, Bradley was ALL OVER LOPEZ! Take it to the bedroom Bradley! It was ridiculous. Loma would land a punch, and Bradley wouldn't really say anything. Lopez lands a punch and Bradley starts screaming like a little girl. It was getting so annoying at points that I was having problems paying attention to the fight.
So, yeah, I hear you. I mean, I guess that explains why he's picking Haney over Loma and Tank. You'd have to be an idiot to dismiss Tank and Loma like that, to say Haney will pick them apart. I don't get Tim's love affair with Haney. Maybe he's just been waiting for Haney to come over to Top Rank so he can squeal with delight every time Haney hugs. :lol1::lol1:
Tim Bradley has crappy takes but he has good personality in his announcing. Ward has good insight but boring presentation. The two along with Tessitore, is a crappy broadcast. The ProBox TV announcers with Roy, Tarver, Pauli and that one guy is way better.

I don't think anyone should presume the commentators have to be impartial. They are hired by the network who usually has a vested interest in one of the fighters. More than likely the commentators are told to focus on the house fighter.
I'd expect nothing less from a dumbass like you. Glad you took time out from brain surgery to come on comment on this thread so I can rip you a new one. First, I never said Bradley should be gagged. Go and see if you can find where I said Bradley needs to be silenced. Second, I'm exercising my right to have an opinion. Third, there is no right to free speech on this forum you ignoramus. Boxingscene owns it and can do whatever the **** they way, such as ban you, which would be good idea. God you're a moron. Absolutely ****ing incredible!! No crawl off unless you want me to body you again. :lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:
Why so touchy? Did I offend? I just said my opinion. That a problem?
Try taking a Pamprin. It will help with the cramps.
What? No one’s entitled to have a opinion no more?? Unless it is the same as yours? I hear al qaeda, North Korea and Russia need more people with that same mine set. See how well your mindset works when it’s not in your favor.
You don’t like freeddom of speech? Leave. Plenty of a-ss backward countries that will take you. Fooken idiots

On the one hand, the commentary team hypes fights like they kept saying Beterbiev Smith was a 50-50 FOTY. We know it's not true but they're selling their broadcast and trying to get viewers so I take it with a grain of salt.
I like Tim but do note the bias. Other times Tim is fun because he's always laughing so it makes some of his wacked-out sh*t easier to take. I do like Bernardo Osuna.
I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is when the crew is talking about other fighters or other topics during a (usually undercard) fight where the action is pretty hot and these guys are blabbing about something Tim eats or going on and on about some personal detail about one of the headliners that we've already seen 56 times in all the human interest footage they roll nonstop beforehand. We get it, Joe's the common man, people on Long Island got a new driveway betting on him, etc. Focus on the action in front of you! It's disrespectful to the guys who trained so hard and this is their big TV moment. The fighters don't have to be 'famous' for us to appreciate watching - and appreciate you all actively calling - a fight.
Bradley's problem is that he is trying to argue with people who are naturally better speakers than him, and when he does he gets tripped up and called out on his bias and he isn't smart enough to have a witty comeback or explain himself properly.
This is Mikaela Mayer's commentary. Leagues better than Bradley (and Shawn Porter). She is much easier on the eye too. I don't want to see Tim's dome shining like an alien's testicle when he is on camera.

Damn. I'll have to change my VPN to watch it I guess. I hate that shit. Thanks though.

Bradley is a hater plain and simple. he got a gift with that robbery of Pac and thinks he knows everything. He wasnt even that good in my opinion. Dude is an example of a brother who didnt grow up around other brothers, yet when hes around them he totally changes his personality to fit in. Fake MF.
It would be interesting to hear her commentary. I haven't heard her commentate yet.
The guy who's growing on me now is Sergio Mora. That guy really knows his boxing. Underrated color commentator. Paulie and Sergio are really good. I like Ward and Bradley too, but there are some qualities that I don't like, especially Bradley's bias.

I like Tim but I feel like he's taken the worst habits of Atlas but used them to tow the company line of ESPN and Top Rank. At least Teddy's diatribes were usually reserved for the perceived injustices of the sport he encountered.
Tessitore is a professional play by play guy but he's also a shill for the channel and the promoter.
Ward is biased but he's biased to fighters that he thinks mirror his own approach to the sport (crafty, disciplined, etc).
I've actually grown to like Bernard Osuna, not sure why.
Yeah! That's a good point! I noticed that about Ward, and that Ward kind of says things that make me think he's reciting something that Virgil Hunter told him. Ward is very much into the mentality of a guy. About digging down deep. About having to "sell out some nights." About seeing "what you're made of." He says these phrases A LOT.
I've also noticed that Ward favors boxers he relates to. So Robiesy Ramirez for example, he was giving him a lot of respect. Where Tim was saying Robeisy looked flustered, Ward was saying that he looked like he was setting Nova up for later in the fight, making him fight his fight, a la Cuban style. And I noticed this about Olympic medalists, especially gold medalists. Ward has a lot of respect for Loma too, and you can tell by the way he commentates. So it's like you said in that when he can relate to a boxer, then that boxer will get compliments and respect from Ward.
No matter what, I like Atlas. He so damn intense, I love it. And he's kind of a throwback to the old days of boxing. He's kid of a boxing poet.
Anyway, that's insightful about Tim being similar to Teddy. I've even heard him use some of Teddy's catch phrases. I hear a lot of people used Teddy's catch phrases to be honest. Like "he's setting the table so he can eat!" You know, where referring to the jab setting up the right.
lol What do you think Bradley is going to do when Spence beats Crawford? Yeah! Exactly. I was giving Bradley the benefit of the doubt at first, but man, it's just so obvious that he has favorites and he can't help himself. It's annoying AF.
He might self detonate lol
