2 of the hardest bangers in the sport.
Both defensively not the best. Both durable. Both have championship level engines.
This is going to be a great great war
Ur talking to a guy that just bet on Bivol as a 5:1 underdog against Canelo
Didn't say Joe is better. But this fight is a toss up
Hardly impressive you bet on the natural weight class fighter with huge amateur credentials and obviously talent and advantages ..I bet on bivol that night too
However smith has been the "people's bum" since he retired hopkins
Never been a fan never saw talent ...very average domestic level fighter .A level or two below world level

You really don't know shit about boxing
Haha I wasn't bothered for this fight as it was a forgone conclusion ...
Smith is a bum that was lucky to make a name against hopkins on his way out
Smith doesn't belong at this level and never did
0 chance it will be one sided
Joe Smith is faster with combos and has faster feet. He will be by far the hardest puncher Beter has fought.
Artur will 100% sustain damage.
It was worse than 1 sided
It was a pure massacre
Poor Joe.
you don't know what you're watching. Period.
no. he's very methodical and crafty.
you can't just get Hopkins out of there. Yes despite that age. Pascal and Kovalev couldn't.
Eleider Alvarez is an elite technician. NOBODY done him like that. Joe embarassed him.
I guess I do know a little something after all. I predict Joe would be able to absorb more punishment than he eventually did, however. He was never going to be competitive with Beterbiev, just not enough natural talent.

Could you please elaborate some more?
I predict that you will you not give Beterbiev any credit for dominating Smith when it happens, even though according to you he's slower, smaller, and less skilled.
Okay. I upped it so we can see if you give Beterbiev any credit.

To be fair Jesse Hart ran laps around the ring almost the entire fight and hardly engaged. Hard to KO someone who dont wanna fight.
Oh I agree with you, Hart was in survival mode the second he felt a punch. But he still went the distance with someone that Bivol KTFO, and everyone on this site (at least before the Canelo fight) was talking about how Bivol couldn't punch. Now all of a sudden he's this crazy puncher even though he's knocked one opponent out in his last 8 fights.
And that's not me shitting on Bivol, I've been a fan of his for ages, and won good money on him beating Canelo. But he's got a 50% KO percentage and a 12.5% KO percentage since becoming champ (with his ONLY knockout being against the guy Smith lost a UD to)
power is equal? Not sure about that. People say Bivol can’t punch and Smith hits harder than anyone, but Bivol stopped Sully Barrera while smith couldnt. Went the distance with career SMW Jesse Hart too.

There's not a technical bone in Joe's body. At his best he coming forward, roughing guys up along the ropes. The spells of the fight when he's not throwing is because he's either tired or having a hard time figuring out how to maneuver the guy to the ropes. When he tries to set traps, it's so obvious to the opponent that no one ever falls for it.
He does have longer arms though and pretty big for the division. And while Lemieux was more explosive than Joe, I don't believe he's as physically strong as Joe.

No Joe is more techinical than Lemeiux. He has way longer arms too.

I will say this. I think Smith hits harder for one punch. However i think Both will get hurt and both can take good shots. I actually think Joe takes the better shot, but Beterbeiv is so damn strong and in such great shape he recovers really quickly. I think this fight boils down to distance. If it is on the inside or at middle range/pocket i have Beterbiev. If it is outside i have Smith punishing him with long shots as he rolls on to get into that machine mode he dopes(Beterbiev). I really ike both guys and i wish for a great fight with neither getting really hurt bad . Much respect to both guys. This could be like a Gatti -Ward type or Rafael Marquez- Israel Vasquez rivalry. Whether you agree with me or not it is a fans dream type of fight. I just feel Smiths style matches up better with Beterbiev than Bivols. I actually think Beterbiev walks down Bivol.
More like a Golovkin vs Lemieux feeling. The biggest difference being Smith is cruder than Lemieux but Beterbiev's chin isn't as solid as Golovkin's. I still expect Betervbiev to win 7 of the first 8 and stop Joe around the 9th. KO win for Joe is possible but not likely, especially after the 4th round.

Joe KOed Hopkins and Kovalev couldnt. 1 fight apart
JOE KOED Alvarez when Kovalev couldnt twice. Hes a straight up harder banger than Kovalev
Joe KOed Fonfara when Stevenson couldnt.
Huh? Benavidez said Bivol has one of the strongest 1-2s he's felt.
Joe had his jaw broke
Inoue had his eye socket broke and he went the distance too
Kovalev had Alvarez pretty badly hurt in their first fight
Most of what you're saying is true but I don't think Joe is going to push Beterbiev back and going based in the Vlasov fight, Joe doesn't have the best stamina when he can't come forward the entire fight. He was taking really long breaks on the ropes in that fight and against Beterbiev that's a recipe for disaster.
I guess we'll see Saturday and if you're right I'll be the first to give you your props because I don't see an all out war but rather a methodical beat down.
I think Vlasov was just too slippery for Joe. Beterbiev doesn't move as much as Vlasov and takes punches on his guard so I think Joe might have a easier time building up his offense which is pretty much his defense.
