He never showed anything special besides popping his jab and tying up. Sure good defense, but that wasn't a performance of a great special talent. He's no crawford, spence, loma, or shakur. Haney lacks the ability to close the show in impressive fashion against inferior opposition. He never hurt george once in that fight.
He's just gone to the other side of the world, as a title holder, to fight a three belt champion in his own country.
And won comfortably.
Not impressive enough for people?
Don't know who could beat such style based solely on all kinds of tricks of not getting hit and potshotting. He does all the survivalist style like ducking very low, clinches and disengages at the slightest touch. I doubt Tank Davis will ever mention his name again. That's not something casuals would want to see again.
Someone that's got just as much ability but willing to go the extra mile. He even said post fight he took the last round off lmao. That's not a p4p level fighter.

You guys don't get it. Haney failed to put an exclamation mark on his performance the same way he failed against linares. Once he steps up his opposition, he's gonna need more than pot shotting his jab and tying his opponent and running around the ring. He's going to have to throw combinations and commit more and sit on his shots otherwise he will lose. Potshots only get you so far and that's exactly what he did in this fight and the linares fight. Nothing else.
It was a dominating performance but it wasn't entertaining.....and in my honest opinion, it doesn't have to be. Not everyone has to fight an "exciting" style.
I thought it was impressive though, 11-1 against the guy who beat the man. Tough crowd I suppose.
But the man wasn't right and Haney showed that, it was very lack lustre performance from both guys, I think Davis would beat Haney, I cant believe Kambosis didn't step up and throw the kitchen sink he needed a KO to Win after 7 rounds and didn't change up anything.
The fight was not even close. Kambosos is going to get dominated again in a rematch. He does not have what it takes to overcome haney. Haney is too skilled and has a far higher boxing IQ.
Boxing Less/Jab Clinic
DOMINATED so badly that his own Crowd was just watching in Silence only was able to cheer maybe 4 Times Total besides that I was hearing Bill Haney and Yoel Judah louder than anybody over the Telecast on ESPN lol
Kambosos only won maybe 1 Round? How in the hell that is not domination all of a sudden
