Posters run on mostly delusions on here . Usyk is an underrated puncher but it’s how he sets heavy shots up . A.J hurt him more actually in their fight only he was outworked but only slightly minor adjustments could see him stopping Usyk which I expect to happen .
We have to remember most hardcore fans don’t even wAtch a fight back ,and remember only the last rounds usually 11 and 12 and go on nonsensical logic just like his last rematch where he was dead in the water on here . :lol1:
I wouldn’t put to much stock in any trainer he picks if he’s choosing someone it’s basically for a slight change in offense . I’d like Ali Bashir being Usyks firmer trainer but I’m sure there’s a reason that didn’t pan out ?
People do get overexcited with a win/loss on here, no doubt. Equally lots of people are saying 'AJ only has to make this adjustment..... to win', as if usyk isn't capable of multiple adjustments on his first performance.
I don't think the rematch is an easy night for either fighter but I definitely lean towards Usyk and wouldn't be shocked by a space of a fatigued Joshua through accumulation.
Joshua was beaten, but I think people's reaction to the loss has been dramatic. He was beat, he was out boxed but? He was competitive in almost every single round.
Joshua was competitive while fighting the wrong kind of fight. In his mind, this can be registered as a positive. He has more positives that he can take from Usyk 1, than his first fight against Ruiz Junior. Yes he knocked Ruiz Junior down, but he also watched for the first time in his career 'A fighter take his power and rise up again' so it is debatable whether that is really a big positive.
Lets say Joshua's game plan for this rematch is to fight 80% more aggressive at mid-range. There may have to be some rounds where he mixes things up and boxes from long range with Usyk.
Joshua knows from past experience, that if he does this? He is not going to be blown out of the water. He may drop a round, but he knows he can survive.
Like you have pointed out, people are not really analyzing the fight deeply. They only want to see and understand that Joshua was beaten 'And then perpetuate these stereotypes that he is petrified, afraid, got no heart etc'.
I keep telling people? Tyson Fury has retired, that mans gone, he out of here. He does not want to be involved anymore.
Anthony Joshua is still here, and he is taking on the biggest challenge in the heavyweight division.
Joshua's critics are the people who are absolutely petrified 'Of what could possibly happen'. Because they all know deep down, there is something different about Joshua. His traits that go against him acutely, are also what work for him during the long game. There is no fighter active in the heavyweight division who studies boxing, and obsesses over winning like Joshua. He has near psychopathic work ethic, which is not normal.
Joshua has been preparing for Usyk since the end of the last fight.
- - It must be noted for the record, Kool, in spite of your previous foolishness, BINGO, couldn't have said it better if I tried.
AJ is the record setting fighter of his era with only Canelo coming close at near the same age. Usyk came out of their fight looking like Frankenstein Jr, so AJ only has to build on that and avoid getting his eye popped in the 10th round..
Interesting match. I like Garcia as a trainer and like how most of his fighters approach the fight. Wonder about the rest of it: can't recall RG training any HWs, will AJ be headed to California? Look forward to seeing it develop and what impact it has in the ring.
- - He runs a prominent gym as a top trainer, so yeah, he trains hvys, Fat Andy briefly as I recall.

If you read the article it was right there. No. RG is going to UK. AJ not coming to Cali.

AJ doesn't have the tank for Garcia's style.
I disagree, AJ has tried to bounce around on his toes like he's Muhammed Ali.
He'll save a lot of energy if he's walks down Usyk flat-footed and uses all of his energy for punching.
So all of a sudden Usyk is a monster puncher?
If Usyk could not stop Joshua in round 12 of the first fight, he is not stopping him in the rematch.
I don't think Usyk has enough power with a single punch to deck Joshua.
I find it highly amusing, the amount of people trying their best to convince themselves that Joshua is petrified of Usyk.
I don't sense this, the Ruiz Junior rematch was more of daunting terrifying fight for Joshua to prepare for.
Joshua is game for this rematch.
Ha never thought I'd agree with you yes your right he doesn't have the chin but he also doesn't have the skills to outbox usyk. He'll have to go for broke use his size and power and make it rough to have a chance at winning.
Agree on all statements
People like to overcomplicate trainers.
He just needed to freshen up. Doesn't matter who at this stage.
If it brings him confidence, that's all that matters. He's an Olympic champion with good fundamentals. Good luck to him.
It won't matter...

Didn't realise Usyk didn't actually land a shot there. Good defence for someone so tired.
AJ doesn't have the tank for Garcia's style.
I was wondering about that too. I can't remember Garcia training any heavyweights before either. Not even trainer is suited for it.
