We all know the Romero fight is just something to get over with for Tank.
What is next then? Hearn is interested in signing Tank, which makes Espinoza and Ellerbe furious.
But who else is there for Davis at PBC/Showtime?
Floyd once offered Ryan 300k in addition to his pay if he could beat Rolly. Ryan got scared. I don't think Floyd changed his mind about that. Ryan looks even weaker now. He and Rolly have a history. Let's do that one first. Man up!
Ryan isn't calling any shots, not even against someone like Loma, let alone Davis. He has a lot to prove before he gets a shot against the top 2 in the division, Davis and Loma. I'd rather Davis completely ignore this young lady Garcia. Rolly would fuk Ryan up. Fight Rolly, since you tucked tail against Cruz, or STFU.
Depends on how bad he wants the Ryan Garcia fight. GBP Hoya will call the shots on that one. Davis would end up rematching Isaac Cruz with Ellerbe still on his side. Who else is there for him at PBC?
cross the street? tank is the street, they come to him not the other way around
Exactly. Why aren't those lame guys sending an offer to him?
Fact is none are in a position to do so. He will pick who he wants.
And, to the thread starter, no, Davis is staying where he is.
Ordinarily no but that depends. If I was making 3 million prior and another offer comes in for 2 million plus PPV upside I would strongly consider it.
Thank you!
My bad, you're focusing on the dollar amount, I was just making up a dollar amount to prove a point so let me rephrase it...I'm going to ask you this question again, for some reason you seem to be avoiding it:
Would Outwest Exp 355 lowball himself with another promoter for less millions if his previous promoter else was paying him more millions per fight?

It's ridiculous that people are still saying it's time for Davis to step up. He's damn near 30. His promo company has made him rich and popular amongst the casual fan market but failed him in regards to his legacy. I think he is a magnificent fighter but not a fan of his handling.
Not everyone is making 3 million. Other than Loma who else is getting 3 million per fight these days? Also these fights vs Tank would be PPV so structuring money on the back end wouldn’t be an issue.

If Tank stays, he can keep catering to his casual fan base with fights he's 1000-1 favorite in. He goes over to Top Rank he can get some real fights with guys who may be favored over him like Taylor, Loma, Haney, Teo and Stevenson. We all know what option he's going with. Enjoy your waste of talent career fighting stiffs.
Not all fights are structured that way (backend deals)...again nothing is unreasonable in wanting the most money for being punch in the head, especially when you are a champion. let other tell you "NO" but if you don't ask for it in the beginning, you won't get it at all.

What bearing would it have on your life?
What bearing does boxing have on your life? But yet, here we are...on a boxing forum discussing it anonymously. We should all log off and never discuss it since none of us have a stake in the game...it's not like we are getting punched in the head or anything.
But you have to be reasonable. I think if these fighters were willing to take less money up front and more on the back end we’d see the fights we all want to see.

I wish he would but Haymon has a mind control over these guys, even if he wants to level Floyd...Haymon will lie to him and keep him in the fold.
Davis is a ticket seller, there's not too many fighters that can do that...The lies & promises he will tell Davis to keep him under Mayweather promotion will be unimaginable.
Why do you wish that. What bearing would it have on your life? Haymon has never been known to be a liar
so that statement is laughable. Oscar out here turning down fights like Munguia-Charlo Garcia-Davis and still sexually assaulting women and Arum has been raided and investigated multiple times but it’s Al Haymon who’s the problem. We all know the real reason you all want him to leave. :lol1:
So what!!! I'd ask for that too if I was getting punched in the head for a living. Would you lowball yourself in this dangerous sport? Let others tell you no

That’s not surprising

A million dollars is cool. But they aren’t asking for a million dollars are they? If that was the asking price these fights would’ve already happened. Haney ask TR for 5 million for the Loma fight.

Yes but they are champions, there are thousands of boxers who are not ticket sellers but get over 1 million dollar purse.
Putting butts in seats shouldn't be the only qualifier for getting 7 digits purses, if that was the case...no boxer would make a living.
Being a TRUE WORLD CHAMPION should also be a qualifier
Case in point, Bernard Hopkins was never a ticket seller but he made his 1st 7 digit payday against Oscar De La Hoya, you know why...because he was a champion.
Caleb Plant isn't a ticket seller but he made his 1st 8 digit payday against Saul Alvarez, you know why...because he was a champion.
These are the proven ticket sellers in boxing right now:
Saul Alvarez
Anthony Joshua
Gervonta Davis
Ryan Garcia
Errol Spence
So you're saying only these 5 are allowed to make million dollar purses?
A million dollars is cool. But they aren’t asking for a million dollars are they? If that was the asking price these fights would’ve already happened. Haney ask TR for 5 million for the Loma fight. Now he’s lost some leverage since then because DAZN is out of the picture. Unfortunately he’s tied up now. Loma hasn’t sniffed a gym in months. I don’t know what’s up with Teofimo. Ryan Garcia might be the only big fight option. And I think they will try a 3rd time to get that fight done. I hope Kambosos wins so he can free himself up.
Of course they tried to make the Garcia fight because Ryan can put asses in the seats and he brings in revenue. Haney’s last fight sold 7500 tickets in his hometown. Does that sound like someone who should be demanding 5 million dollar paydays? Teofimo’s last fight had delay after delay. Originally supposed to be in Miami and then moved to New York. Triller lost millions and they still pulled out of the fight. They would rather cut their loses then work with Teofimo’s father, who Ellerbe has said numerous times that guy is delusional. But still Teofimo has paid his dues and deserves a payday. He sacrificed a lot to get the Loma fight. But at the same time Mayweather Promotions is entitled to make a profit. They aren’t making anything off of any of their other fighters.
