I think we're gonna see Thurman vs Crawford as the next big welterweight superfight in the summer, with the winner fighting of Spence vs Ugas at the end of the year. Don't overlook One Time fellas.
Problems? Pacquaio battered him.
That was an embarrassing performance. For a young, prime, new era Welterweight to get battered by a 40 year old Pacquaio was a total embarrassment on his behalf.
Just showed how shot Thurman was he wasn't anywhere near his prime, showed how much the downtime and surgeries derailed his career, Manny was there to be beaten and he sidestepped Spence when he saw Thurman look ordinary with a B grader, Ive never been big on Thurman what ever is left TC will destroy him, Keith has never done anything sustained at top tier, he had terrible form going into Manny and Manny was betting favorite the bookies knew Thurman was done, that form was stamped again when Ugas beat Manny because Mannys win created more hype that flowed into the Ugas fight, its all false form and I think will continue when Spence stops Ugas.
Ranked by who? If you look at legitimate sources like Ring or TBRB, none of them were ranked.
Chaves wasn’t top 10 he was only ever ranked #10 in 2014 after the draw with Bradley.
Collazo hasn’t been in the top 10 since 2009.
Guerrero was also unranked as of March 2015. Was last rated #8 in 2014.
So your arguments aren’t really based on facts mate.
He buzzed Barrios though mate. Same guy midget Tank knocked out.
Monster puncher.
Good win, but Porter has take a lot of punishment in his career and has been in dog fights with Thurman, Garcia, Spence, Ugas, Brook, Broner, Granados, and Berto. He announced his retirement after the Crawford loss. He was done.
I couldn’t see any obvious signs of decline. Still had his speed, strength, punch resistance.
He was very competitive with Crawford until Terence simply found the shot to end it. Superb timing on that counter, no version of Porter does any better versus Crawford IMO.
Porter was as good in 2022, in the fight he retired after, as he was in 2016? Sounds legit :lol1:
He still looked as good as ever. I saw no obvious signs of decline.
I was responding to your friend who kept asking me who Thurman and dropped or stopped in the top 10, the fighters I mentioned were lower top 10 when Thurman stopped or dropped them. I don't do the rankings, there are fighters in the top 10 right now that I don't agree with, but that's where they're ranked.
But we can nit-pick anybody's resume, this guy moved up, that guy was shot, the other wasn't top 10, all ifs and buts. My arguments are based on facts and visuals.

I like both fighters. Crawford hasn’t stopped any top fighters either. Porter was battle fatigued and his style doesn’t lend itself to longevity. Crawford doesn’t take it to the body any better than Thurman, they both have been rocked to the body. I still favor Crawford to beat Thurman, and any other welterweight, but I think this one goes the distance in a close fight.
Porter was in the Top 5 so that’s 1 more than Thurman but Crawford isn’t a concussive puncher either but he certainly hits harder than Thurman.

Facts? :lol1: You mean like those facts that Collazo and Chavez were in the Top 10 when they actually weren’t?
Here’s the actual facts;
Number of Top 5 guys stopped - 0
Number of Top 5 guys dropped - 0
Number of Top 10 guys stopped - 0
Number of Top 10 guys dropped - 1
Does that sound like a puncher to you?
You're being stubborn grandad. Thurman has proven throughout his career that he's a puncher, by hurting opponents in every fight. A lot of top fighters don't hurt opponents, therefore aren't punchers. And generally when you get to the top 10 world level, guys aren't getting stopped very often, that's why they are in the top 10 to begin with. Fighters who have been in the ring with Thurman are on record saying he can really crack, like Danny Garcia, who else has buckled him the way Thurman did in round 1?
Collazo, Guerrero, Chaves were top all lower top 10 fighters I believe and Thurman either dropped or stopped them, even though that's not the only way of determining if somebody is a puncher or not. There are lots of variables that come into play on fight night like your timing, accuracy, opponent's approach etc.
Chavez and Collazo? :lol1: No, neither were Top 10.
Guererro possibly was still Top 10. Can’t remember. Definitely wasn’t Top 5.
So we have one Top 10. Any top 5?
No mate, big punchers drop and stop top level guys. Any puncher you can name, has dropped or stopped a top ranked fighter or multiple.
Keith Thurman has not only done that, he’s failed to come close to stopping any of them, hasn’t dropped any of them and in his last fight failed to come anywhere close to stopping a Jr Welterweight who was knocked out by a Jr Lightweight.
If you think Thurman has any chance of stopping Crawford you live in a dream world. He never has stopped anyone on that level and never will.
Crawford stopping Porter is unquestionably legit. Porter looked just as good as he did vs Spence, Thurman etc in that fight.

Collazo was a cut. Collazo actually hurt Thurman way worse than Thurman hurt him.
Guerrero began his career at Featherweight, Thurman never looked close to stopping him either.
And then Diego Chaves wasn’t ever a legitimate contender, I mean who did he ever beat? He got that draw against Bradley and even then that’s a fight he should have lost IMO.
I fully agree with IDH tbh man, Thurman ain’t ever proved he’s a puncher.

Can you name a Top 5 or 10 ranked fighter he’s dropped or stopped or not?
Simple question.

Oh yeah, so wild. What top 5 fighter has Thurman ever stopped again? Oh yeah none. What Top 5 fighter has he ever even dropped? None.
Wobbling fighters make you a puncher now? I can’t even think of a Top 10 guy he’s stopped.
He hit Barrios with everything plus the kitchen sink and was never anywhere close to stopping him or even dropping him yet T Rex arms Jr Lightweight Tank stopped him :lol1:
Couldn’t stop Lopez, who got smashed by Maidana.
Couldn’t stop Bundu, never had him visibly hurt other than the flash KD in the first round.
Couldn’t drop Porter who was stopped by Crawford, dropped by Spence and Adrien Broner.
He never had any of the above in any kind of real trouble at any point despite hitting them all consistently.
This is a sign that he is not a puncher. Which he’s not, that’s obvious.
Thurman has NO chance with Crawford. What’s he going to do? Outbox him? No.
He can’t hurt him, that we know.

Yeah it’s clear as day he’s no puncher. “One Time” is nearly as ridiculous as Whyte calling himself the “body snatcher” despite never stopping anybody with a body shot. :lol1:
It’s “irrational nonsense” apparently mate :lol1:
A puncher…..who’s dropped no one in the Top 10 :lol1:
Makes sense

This is the best version of Thurman in terms of athletics and power but boy is he getting touched up. I think Crawford wrecks any version of him, esp the half-Keef we see today. I think there is demand to see Crawford stop him so Thurman should earn a pretty penny if the fight happens.
Well put, couldn't be bothered to respond to such irrational nonsense myself. Some people just can't be reasoned with.
Can you name a Top 5 or 10 ranked fighter he’s dropped or stopped or not?
Simple question.
Crawford got his ass rocked and dropped by Kavalaskiskis. That we also know. One Time can definitely hurt him.
Sorry, let me rephrase that.
Can he hurt him to the extent of stopping him? No.
He could momentarily buzz him, yes. He’s got enough pop on his punches to buzz him.
Drop him? Very unlikely.
Stop him? No. Not going to happen.
