Not sure anyone has been following these two but it should be a wildly entertaining fight. They have some serious beef and can't stand each other. This is like Thor's 4th professional fight I think and The Beast first fight.
I'm also shocked boxing scene doesn't have any coverage on it. It'll promote articles that barely have to do with boxing but than an actual boxing event and it is completely ignored.
Thor has more fluidity than AJ (granted that ain’t saying much).
He’s clearly got a bit of talent. Eddie is literally a beast. No much skill but he has some pop. You can tell the dudes durable too. Huge skull and crazy thick short neck.
He's like an in-shape Butterbean.
If one of them doesnt get sparked out early this is going to be ****ing torture.

Devon is a trained fighter and does crazy workouts that would be more toward fighting combat sports. Larratt almost went into MMA years ago because he had military training and has grappled before .
Hall doesn’t have the body type to be a boxer he’s very clunky and his balance is not so good when throwing punches . Larratt is 6”6 lean and wasn’t bad at boxing with the limited training . Thor said he would have lost the fight if Larratt more time to train . Obviously Hall is not better at boxing it’s actually I’d say terrible.
I'll agree with that. I guess Larratt coming from military training is more fit for boxing and I definitely think he would of had a better chance if he had more time to train. I think Eddie's counting on this hail mary punch that he loves to land in training that sounds epic but isn't practical in application. I dunno, this is as circus of a fight as a Jake Paul bout in my eyes so I don't mind, lol.
The Larratt fight interested me more . Hall isn’t a good of a boxer as Larratt was showing and that fight didn’t last to long . Hall is probably more durable but lack of any true boxing abilities make this a real easy prediction. The Billy Nelson trained Thor should win easy .
I think if Larratt read a comment like that, he would laugh his ass off. He literally had 4 weeks to train for a sport he's never done in his life, at 47 years old, against a monster a human being, lol. Indicated it was an offer he couldn't refuse and just accepted it to more than likely grow his own brand/channel. Even he laughs whenever someone brings it up to him (his boxing) during interviews. Immediately after that match, he went right back to what he knows best, arm wrestling and hasn't once delve back into boxing.
I think Eddie has trained a lot longer than Devon because he was already training prior to his bicep injury. I just think Eddie is going to look the worse in comparison because it is his first pro fight while Thor already has the experience of getting that first fight out of his system.
Like Sumo wrestlers?
Potentially so. Honestly, the only reason I know about this fight and have somewhat interest is I follow a lot in the strength world. Arm wrestling deals with strength so I learned about Devon Larratt whose an awesome personality on youtube. From there I followed his journeys where he eventually signed up to be a late last minute replacement as Thor's opponent when Eddie Hall pulled out initially due to a bicep injury last year.
Now it's finally back on the table and a few days away. The beef has to deal with Eddie won the world's strongest man competition back in 2017 but Thor tried tampering the win claiming cheating and what not. None of which was able to be proven even with all the video replays. Thus, Eddie has been hating the man since then since it tampered his globally recognized win. Kind of like someone throwing steroid accusations at you in boxing without any proof found and it could damage your career. That kind of anger.
If anything, it'll be entertaining while it lasts. Thor btw is the dude from Game of Thrones playing The Mountain so he's pretty well known around the world...
