always liked Povetkin, thought he was always a great fighter who lost to really the 2 best HW's of his time. Always in the mix
but this is shameful........
It sounds like you're as dumb about world affairs as you are about boxing.
The current government of Ukraine was installed through US meddling. Putin warned that he considered NATO/Ukraine a security issue and tried diplomacy first.
Only when the West refused to listen did he go to the military option.
Threatening to use nukes makes him a nut job but that doesn't change the fact that the current regime in Ukraine is a corrupt proxy for the West.
As Ukrainian i confirm, you are complete *****.
Our government was elected by voting ~2 years ago. You dont know a shit abot what happened in 2014, so better leave this thread and educate yourself. After that comeback and we can have a discussion
Hell yes ...
Putin just blocked Facebook and Twitter from his people, how can the Russian people be so blind to what is going on, Putin is probably telling them the West cut off Russia from Facebook, how can this happen in 2022 the majority of Russian are being kept in a primitive state of mind. I cant understand how it can be in this day and age, its mind-boggling.
I'm not even American you stupid ****. Lol speaking of critical thinking and failing at the first hurdle, unable to even ascertain what country I'm writing from.
"Stop hating on America!!!11!"
Why the **** should I even waste my time arguing with some dumb, hillbilly worthless ****
You shouldn't. Hyuk Hyuk.
Since you offered a question mark there, let me help. The correct answer is:
"Of course not. And because of your simple question, which activated my atrophied critical thinking, I now see how stupid of a statement that was, and I repent of hating my own country and acting like I know anything at all."
There you go. You're welcome.
I'm not even American you stupid cunt. Lol speaking of critical thinking and failing at the first hurdle, unable to even ascertain what country I'm writing from.

Russia already has a major influence on Cuba and is Cuba's main creditor.,
The Russian border already has many different countries on its border, its not only Ukraine who occupies a small portion of that border, as somebody said what if Russia set up in Mexico lol, Mexico is the entire border of the USA not a few hundred miles of it shouldering many different countries.
People need to open their minds to the big picture, ironically I see the same style of arguments in this that I see in arguing about their fav fighters, I just put it down to young and dumb.
There is a big difference between bring a creditor and installing missiles as part of a defensive pact.
Also, if you did know anything about it, you would realize that the first guy's question had a false premise. Ukraine does not have a "puppet government". And the US didn't "set it up". Ukrainians want freedom and are tired of being squashed under Putin's boot, and boot of Putin's puppet governments, which is why they ran out Yanukovich (who stole the election to begin with).
Erm...yes?

Ukraine has been ruled by Ukraine for many years, they are not the west they are their own people this is what they are fighting for their independence and freedom, its their choice if they want to join Nato, do you realize Nato is a defense pact, they don't start wars they finish them, its a protection scheme against the very thing that's happening, if it wasn't for Nato Putin would be invading Europe, not just Ukraine.
Why consider things that are not relative to this situation, I don't care about the politics of who gets the Oil etc I care about the basic rights of people to have freedom of choice, there were NO threats to Russia, only in the mind of a power-driven dictator, watch him call Ukrainians Russians and then Neo Nazis.
Why is Putin censoring all press reports coming out of Ukraine why doesn't he allow his own people freedom of information, is he scared they will figure out the truth on their own.
In 2022 there is NO need for War, everything can be negotiated with give and take from all parties
Why is Putin so scared of Nato when they are a defense system they don't operate on aggression, the only reason can be because they stop Putin from what he wants, not what his people, just him.
You say that NATO is a defensive pact, that they don't start wars.
Yet it was with the covert support of the West that the elected president and government of Ukraine were overthrown back in 2014. That is going on the offensive, not playing defense.
And the US was involved up to their eyeballs in that.
America’s Ukraine Hypocrisy
The extent of the Obama administration’s meddling in Ukraine’s politics was breathtaking.

Putin has been warning for a long time that he isn't happy with what the West has been doing in Ukraine. He asked with words for it to stop but did anybody care or listen to his concerns? No. So now he's taking care of the problem with violence and bloodshed.
There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq but the US went in there and killed a bunch of people anyway. Nobody imposed crippling econmic sanctions on us.
If you want to talk about the big picture than maybe you should consider things like that.

Povetkin may sound like a clown, but no more than anyone else over there supporting Putin. They're brain washed and if they were to speak out against him over there, they're dead. Welcome to dictatorship. You have to live and die under 1's own beliefs and ideas. They're all under his power, so you cannot simply disagree as a larger figure over there and think you're life is going to be great afterwards.
Putin wants Ukraine under his dictatorship as well because he's against Western democracy. He feels they belong to Russia and by linking up with NATO, that would put them even further away from Putin's agenda.
I can't find an end goal for Putin no matter what here. Does he think he could just install a new corrupt government in Ukraine and think the people will just go back to their merry life? It would be a never ending war with a resistance and counter attacks constantly coming in. Then if other countries got involved, perhaps NATO involved, the US would eventually have to join in. It would get ugly very quick. Welcome to WW3.
I agree with this.
What if Russia tried to set up in Cuba? What would we do?

Installing puppet governments in Central American was the US speciality. As for the present situation, there were Russians living in Ukraine and vice versa which was not a big thing under the USSR but has caused conflict since, e.g. Crimea and Donetsk region. But Putin is using what could be argued to be legimtate grievances in the SE Ukraine region as a guise for empire building. I fear the upcoming seige of Kiev is going to be awful. Still, it never ends well for violent dictators (Gaddaffi, Hitler, Hussein, etc. all executed).
I just watched Putin say the Ukrainians are Russian people they are brothers, and in the very next breath, he says they are Neo Nazis and so bombs the fck out of civilians. This is not propaganda its he himself saying it.
Putin needs a bullet in the brain he is a power-driven delusional dictator, who keeps in own country in the dark like mushrooms, the masses of Russioa have no idea what Putin is doing to Ukraine they are fed lies and have everything censored by Putin.
lmao he said he had a plan. He said he would be tough on Putin. His supporters actually believed this. Now that Putin is shelling the chit out of the capitol of Ukraine and their president is going to abandon them any day now, its changed to "but what can Biden do?, he cant do anything to prevent this"
This is just like his covid "plan" which has now turned into "theres nothing the feds can do, its a states problem to resolve". worse president of all time
What defines being "tough" to you? If crippling their economy with the strictest sanctions any country has undergone isn't good enough, I'm not sure what you want to see. You want to see US soldiers on the ground there? Again, see my original post that any involvement of a US soldier in the war will trigger a nuclear response from the crazy nut and it'll be bad for everyone.
Of course Biden couldn't prevent this. It's not the US war to begin with. We're an unfortunate observer who has to stay back because of the repercussions should we get involved. Heck, even the UK president acknowledged that directly when asked why can't they help. He said, they're unable to handle the counter attack that will happen should they get involved. To put it simple, because of the nukes and Putin's unstable mental state, there is no one willing to test him to see if he'll really push the button.
So what would you propose Biden do? Get the US involved and play shot for shot with nukes against an angry god complex nut dictator? Any involvement directly by the US would trigger nuke response. Nobody on this planet needs that to happen. With the amount of nukes that would be fired back and forth, all the nuclear fallout left behind, consider it the end of human civilization.

One of my friends said something like this the other day. I figured he heard it from some idiot on tv. Now I'm guessing you heard it from the same idiot, or an idiot who brainlessly parroted the first idiot.
If Russia set up a puppet government in Mexico, do you really think the US would invade Mexico? Suddenly bomb not only military targets relentlessly, but also orphanages, hospitals, historical sites? Would we shoot up buses and cars?
Just use your brain. Putin isn't backed into a corner. Putin craves conquest. How did NATO make him invade Georgia? Moldova? Crimea? And he took part of each of those countries. Why? Because they fit into his strategy of conquest.
By the way, Ukraine isn't in NATO or even a candidate. Putin already wanted more of Ukraine. He decided to go for it now, because our weakness emboldened him to strike. We, and Europe, watched as he rolled through Georgia, Moldova, Crimea, and even when they blew up the Malaysian flight. It was all too easy. So he went for the whole enchilada.
Lika Iran and the Jews, Putin considers Ukraine a made up state and believes they don't have the right to exist as a nation. There's a whole lot more history here than is apparent to the casual listener of american-hating, putin-sympathizing, propagandist journalists.
What if Russia tried to set up in Cuba? What would we do?
