Prince Naseem was pure entertainment, Mike Tyson stunk of violence and got me buzzing for his fights without doing too much, Chavez Sr fights made me feel Mexican even though the closest I've ever been is having a Burrito in Dublin.
Tyson Fury is the star performer in this era though. He's funny, scathing, sings, dresses up as batman. Hell he beat Wlad before they even stepped in the ring.
Tyson Fury for me. Ali obviously from his time, Prince Naseem was class, but the way he ran into hiding after the Barrera beat down, made me lose all respect for him. Naz knew if he went on and fought another 4-5 major names, that he wouldn't win some, lose some, or win them all, but that he'd lose every single time, so he chose to hold onto his one loss for his dear life as he knew, it was all down from there. Eubank Sr was great too. Mike Tyson was just great marketing, he didn't play that much of a part in it outside of ring performances against very well-matched opposition. Mike Tyson was like Kane from his early WWF days. Nash out.
Prince Naseem Hamed, David Haye, Mike Tyson, Chris Eubank Senior.
I think it is mainly down to the fighters characters, and how they clashed with their opponents.
Fighters like Tyson Fury & Derek Chisora should also be mentioned. Fernando Vargas, Ricardo Mayorga, Oscar De La Hoya etc
Note: With Mike Tyson, it was more the aura which surrounded his fights. The bad intention, there was just something so raw and authentic about his fights. Awesome.
