I literally have no idea.
FOX exercised their contract last year but it runs out at the end of 2022.
With all the FOX PPV this year I can't imagine them making a new long term deal.
Which other network will make a deal with them?
Showtime don't have the budget nor dates for such a big roster.
ABC & NBC are out of the PBC buissnes.
ESPN have Top Rank and HBO are out of boxing.
It leaves CBS left.
Who also owns Showtime.
What do you think will happen?
Funny how the original pitch for PBC was HBO/Showtime and even PPV level fights on network TV. Turns out the ad dollars weren’t enough and after a little bit we were getting showcase fights instead of top guys against each other.
Now we have guys and fights that have no business being on PPV being pushed as PPV fights and bombing. We still haven’t heard official numbers for Tanks last fight at $80 on an NFL Sunday and probably never will.
If I’m Fox then I’m asserting much more control if I’m renewing any deal. Haymon’s really good at spending other peoples money.
Hope they go under.
What good are they? They won’t do in-house matchmaking that we want to see.
Absolutely won’t work with other promotional companies.
They’re worse than TR, Don King.
We’re better off if they fold, other companies can grab the fighters they want, and we move on.
Why won't they be seen in abc and nbc work with them?
and I thought they paid to be on Fox. Why would the contract not be up for Renewal if you're going to get money.
I believe they had a short period of prepaid time, the Fox saw the #’s and got on board since that point
As much as I can't stand PBC at times I would love to see HBO come back and take on their business.
HBO has the capital to put on good fights that would end up on PPV otherwise
I'm not 100% convinced they won't continue to do business together. The PBC still got plenty of good fighters and still put on entertaining fights.
I mocked Ortiz v Martin as much as the next man, it should of never been on PPV, but it was an entertaining fight and not a bad card either. If the PBC can knock off the greed and desperate money grab, out that level of event on FOX standard it's guna do good numbers.
Keep doing PPV'S but just do the right ones.
I don't think the uptick in ppv's is due to greed but more out of necessity. The Waddell & Reed coffer was ate up long ago,FOX looks like they're given them peanuts and Showtimes budget took a big hit from having to pay Wilder huge guarantees along with Canelos recently. I'm sure AL Haymon had to throw a war chest at Wilder to keep him from accepting that DAZN offer as well.
If they don't land a substantial Network deal, seems like they, along with us, will be up shit creek trying to feed that large stable solely off of Showtimes budget leaving us to pick up the tab so to speak. I seriously doubt FOX went into that partnership,or content being given the likes of Ruiz vs Arreola,Ortiz vs Martin and Thurman vs Barrios type PPV so what incentive would they have to continue it? Wilder is looking like he's about to retire so that leaves Spence as they're proven PPV attraction if you want to even call it that.

In all honesty i like some of the guys on that roster but hope the end of the year leads to the company's demise. Their biggest in-house fights havent been made. Their biggest fights were when they copromoted with others but they barely do it and they jumped on Saul's back actin like he wasnt responsible for the success of it. Their welters are straight cowards and yes men and their heavies suckas.s The company has done nothing more than propagate more bs matches more often than not. No thanks.
i was excited af in 2015 when they came out.
I miss HBO and Showtime and Espn (b4 tr takeover).
