I still say Whyte deserves a shot for being top 5 heavyweight in last 5-6 years nearly all the time. But I also feel he is not a tough fight for Tyson Fury.
I would say Usyk, Joyce, Joshua, even some novices like Hrgovic, Sirenko, Makhmudov would be more dangerous fights.
Whyte goes life and death with everybody that can actually box, he had a hard time even with Wach.
I see Whyte as prestigious but an easy fight for Tyson. I hope they make the fight.
That’s like the third poster saying Helenius defeats Whyte with a real fight showing he probably gets knocked out if he fought Whyte with a full camp . Helenius defeats Whyte and Fury vs Whyte is easy to win for him ,won’t break a sweat ? This forum ? :lol1:
Lol, haters gotta hate, but at least have some basic knowledge, like who has already beaten who!
I seriously doubt that. Just because he laid his **** on Deontay to beat him doesn't mean he'll lay his **** on everyone from here out. It's too easy for me to believe he's regressed so much he only has one mode anymore.
The Fury who beat Chisora never got out of first gear. His ass can retire 20 years and still be able to do that.
I don't doubt he can do it. I doubt he will do it. Not regression, just a different mindset. You really think you'll see him 'boxing' ever again? Just don't see it.
He's in love with his power now, but Wilder is just unskilled, has no foot movement and has no power in his legs. It just won't be as easy walking Dillian down... I hope he does box and show how great he is, but this is a guy who thinks he's a wrecking ball now. Dangerous game.
Whyte isn't an easy night for anyone. He's earned his shot, and he's earned the right to make decent money.
Fury will rightly be a huge favourite, but being a champion includes facing guys that you might not want to face. And doing it a few times.
So you think that Whyte doesn't beat both Helenius and Otto Wallin?
Against Fury he wont even get near Tyson let alone win.
Whyte already beat Helenius, but it was not an easy night for him.
Bit fat and slow for Tyson, bit too close to Chisora in like...every way. Pretty sure Tyson beats him without much different than the Chisora fights....there was two right? **** I only remember one. The snoozer one that was so easy for Tyson he was asking the ref when dude's gonna call it.
The Fury that fought Chisora is gone.
No chance he comes to box. He will come for the KO and that's a horrible tactic for this fight.
I do agree if he comes for the decision he wins every round easily though.
I don't think he beats either if those two.
Dude was KO'd by a 50 year old.
And if you think he was over covid in the rematch I question if you even watch boxing???
He's already beaten Helenius lol
Fury would be huge favourite against anyone at this point, but he is very vulnerable, he's been knocked down multiple times recently and his last fight was a war.
Whyte is limited, it 'feels like' he will just get outboxed like Chisora, but does anyone think Fury will just 'box' again now? He's fallen in love with his power... And that brings with it risks that can threaten him. He's going come into range and scrap. It will probably work, but the reason it was so effective v Wilder is because Wilder has weak legs and relies on range.
Whyte has a huge hook (body and head) and overhand right, both of which we've seen land on Fury and trouble him, particularly the overhand right. Whyte will love throwing that and if Fury isn't defensively awake or underestimates it, you could say the way the OP has, it'll be shock in the making. Plus he's a lot stronger than Wilder.
I don't think any of the names pose more threat than Whyte, they are all too inexperienced and will probably fall apart before they walk to the ring. Dillian would come to fight and will swing until he cannot swing anymore.
It's the best fight to make outside AJ/Usyk. Not that Fury wouldn't be huge favourite. But there's a threat level there if he's not 100%.
I think that any unbiased boxing fan without an agenda knows that Fury would completely outbox Dillian Whyte.
There's levels to this game, and outside of a lucky punch, Whyte has no chance.
This is why he's asking for 10 million, it's an attempted cash out.
Fury would win, but completely outbox? Nah

Yeah, there were two fights. The second was 3 and a half years after the first, but it showed how far Tyson Fury had came on in that time. He was 3 times the fighter he was in 2011. The first fight was a lot more competitive, and a different style of fight. Fury won clearly like 117-111, but the rounds were much more competitive. I'm not certain Chisora landed a glove in the rematch, and this was before Chisora vs Whyte 1, which is a fight I, and most, felt Chisora won. Nash out.
I don't think he beats either if those two.

I do think it's a fight that Fury needs to take seriously. You can't so Whyte poses no danger whatsoever, he's scored some huge knockouts including some against durable opponents. He's big and he's got above-average boxing ability when compared to the rest of the pack at HW. If Fury doesn't train hard or takes him too lightly it's not inconceivable that he could lose, though of course Fury would rightly be a big favourite.
Whyte is very difficult to outbox early, he slows down by the mid-rounds due to poor stamina, but I would not be surprised at all if he upset Fury. He has the skills and power to easily take this fight. Boxing fans are just being boxing fans, always putting guys on pedestals.
Seems like all the font editing options are deciding not to appear, on the forum.
Oh no! How will we the unwashed masses know what point you are trying to make without your boldface to guide us through?
I'd give Whyte little chance against Fury really. No way in the world is he going to outbox him, all he has is a punchers chance and even then Fury has just beaten a bigger puncher with faster hands 3 times out of 3.
But he deserves his shot. I'm sure an agreement can be ironed out for that Fury fight even if right now they ain't singing from the same page. I just hope Team Fury don't put less than minimal effort in to getting a deal sorted and then just walk away pretending that they did all they could. Honestly that's the vibe I'm getting off them right now.
I think whyte is a great opponent at this stage. Fury has been accused at times of not much depth to resume. In beating whyte, fury will be beating a man with many good wins, so fury can at least boast he'd beat everyone whyte beat if he fought them.
But true, that's not to say Joyce or hrgovic wouldn't beat whyte also. But their resumes not as good as dillians
