He is not a first ballot type of guy, but eventually I think he will get in.
Dunno, Probably. People have forgotten just have scary prime Kovalev was. The man was vicious, KO'ing people with jabs. Leaving Pascal on a hook to punish him putting a horrible beating on him when he could of just stopped him many rounds prior.
I don't care what anyone says he clearly beat Ward. and that rematch was a farce. Drunk Kovalev was not the same, turned into a biscuit chin.
4 years later. Does anybody think he is or isn't at this point going to the Hall? I mean if Vinny Paz got in......
Them letting Vinny in allows everyone a chance :nono:
The Hall Of Mediocrity :dunno:
The eye test says he's not a hall of famer to me but Canastota has different criteria than I do. Since I won't be hosting former champs over for ceremonies next June I will defer to them to decide.
Lance Armstrong did this? Where is the proof? How does water hid PEDs hahah.
For someone who whines so much about PEDs you seem to ignore a lot of stuff about them
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1471562-lance-armstrong-confesses-to-peds-what-is-erythropoietin-epo-blood-doping
¨There are a number of ways that athletes can circumvent positive drug tests, a problem that has become more apparent in recent years and is the subject of an entirely different discussion.
To evade a positive test for EPO, athletes need to avoid being detected as having a hematocrit of 50 percent or higher—a level implying suspiciously high RBC levels in the blood.
To do so, athletes can use saline infusions—directly adding salt water to the blood through an IV. That way, an athlete can dilute their blood to avoid an abnormally high hematocrit but still reap the benefits of the extra RBCs present¨
Sounds a lot like Floyd's illegal-and-banned-by-WADA IV of saline and vitamins that he got caught with red handed, doesn't it.
Ofc, there were no consequences for the diva, thanks to his trusty USADA goons. after all, their job was to make sure he could cheat while his opponents couldn't
It's bs to exclude the likes of james toney and roy jones over some failed test.
they both made it
i think kov will probably get in, but they could always pick some older fighter who never made it. they put julian jackson in randomly in 2019, i guess they didnt like as many of the recently eligible that year.
depends. it comes down to who all retired around the same year he did.
2019, not sure who all retired then?
they already got wladimir, floyd, ward a bunch of others who made it in.
actually i think kovalev has a good shot.
only Manny retired recently. Probably coming up soon would be Rigo, GGG, idk who all else. I think kovalev will have a good shot when he is eligible because he wont have much competition
Yes, he'll probably be one day
and in fair world, he would have 2 wins over Ward, one by UD and one by DQ
It was an IV to flush out the real PEDS from his system, same **** Lance Armstrong did. Stop whining.

It’s really easy to get into the HOF, so yeah.
i think he is a HOFer when you include him beating Ward, but he got robbed and ultimately the history books will have that as an L.
Yes, absolutely. Lots of top ten wins , really should have gotten that win of Ward in the first fight. Overall a better fighter than GGG. And was even on my card going into the 11th against Canelo when he was already well past it.
IMO he's a hall of famer, probably not first ballot though. He had dominant KO wins over several top 10 fighters and was an active, unified champ that showed high boxing IQ to go along with his power. He was highly competitive with two p4p #1 level fighters in Ward and Canelo (arguably won the first Ward match) and immediately avenged his loss to Eleider Alvarez.

Why do fans put up with PEDs? Could you imagine how people would react if may weather failed a drug test? The double standards are out of control. As it is, he got caught injecting WATER into himself, yes WATER and the whole boxing world lost its mind even though it's just water and USADA said he did nothing wrong.

well i thought he won the first ward fight so it would be pretty silly to say no considering how highly ward is thought of, i mean his fans almost think hes unbeatable
