I was under the impression Jacobs had retired. The guy just doesn't fight anymore and hasn't looked even semi-impressive for quite some time. Ryder has a good chance in taking this
Still pissed jacobs got the decision over Rosado smfh
im still pissed Smith got the decision over Ryder. Ryder would of been set for life with a canelo payday, he will retire now never having made even a half of what he could/should of.
This fight will decide where Danny is, sink or swim. I think his heart is out of boxing, he talked about being the next big thing but it never happened for him.
He looked like crap vs JCC Jr as well. His heart is not in boxing anymore. Definitely there for the taking.
Still, I'd rather have preferred Morrell vs Ryder lol.
I don't know why the fight wasn't done. They were talking about it for over a year. The last time I heard, ryder was fighting bivol, couldn't see anything good about it, a least not for ryder. And now this, which looks better for ryder. Be safe
I'm down for this. Nice fight.. Always had a lot of time for Jacobs but feels like his heart really ain't in it any more. On the flip side I've not seen Ryder legitmately lose since he stepped up to SMW and he always gives 100%. I reckon this is avery winnable fight for John.
Yeah same here. Still can’t fathom why that fight wasn’t pursued by Hearn. Same with Bivol vs Ramirez.
They got a better percentage and then just got quiet and started to pursue other fights. Weird indeed.

I think the GGG, Derevyanchenko, and Canelo fights took the last of what Danny had in the tank. The Rosado fight could've easily been a draw or a loss (I was fine with the win for Jacobs, but he should be beating a guy like Rosado easily) and he didn't look incredible against that guy who used to be JCC Jr either.
This is a good fight for Ryder, I think Jacobs might be there for the taking, based off the Rosado fight.

Its been a while since Danny has looked impressive in the ring. Even though the fight was close, I was a bit underwhelmed by him in the Canelo fight.
Ryder is limited but he always seems game and if Danny is sleepwalking again, he might not be fortunate enough to get the nod.
Nash thinks maybe he struggled with no/limited attendance vs Rosado. The fight was like a sparring match. Agree with the Canelo fight, at one point Jacobs woke up and really competed for around a 4 round spell somewhere during the middle/latter rounds, but at this point Canelo was well ahead anyway, and Canelo never needed to get out of second gear. I gave Jacobs 3, maybe 4 rounds tops, but it was a bit of an underwhelming fight.
I think Jacobs vs Ryder is a fight Jacobs need to look great and win well, just a win even, after his last couple of years or so will not be enough to keep him relevant. He is falling off the radar right now. Last chance for both I feel, but Jacobs' ceiling has been and is still potentially, far higher than Ryder's. Nash out.
He didn't look good against Chavez Jr either

Sign me up for that

I can't get over how terrible Jacobs looked vs Rosado plus he'll have been out the ring for around 18 months.
I guess it certainly makes it interesting, I'd have completely stuck my nose up at this fight pre Rosado. Funny how one fight can change everything.
