I don't like the fact Haney was gifted the WBC belt but he was and is the champion, even worse is this Franchise belt and Morris Silly Man, that's what has caused all this chit in the 1st place.
This franchise belt was not meant to be fought over and transferred but in the last 2 fights at 135 it has changed hands twice. You have fallen in to his trap, it being recognised as a winnable and transferable title, another one to claim sanctioning fees on and that's all sweet for slippery Morris.
Great for Kambosos to win it was a great result, Haney is an email champ but he is the champ, let's get an undisputed fight and let things fall back in to some sort of order.
Agree with most of that, but, in Haney's defense, he has actually fought some quality LWs (Linares, Jojo) since being given his title. On the basis of those wins (not on his email belt), he's as worthy as anyone else in the division to challenge GK for undisputed glory. I think GK beats him worse than he beat Teo though, so I'm looking forward to that one.
Can we really call JoJo a Lightweight? lol. Linares is the best name on his resume as it would be for any of the current LWs!
I’ll cross my fingers and hope to get Haney/Kambosos, though I don’t think Devin actually let’s it happen. He’s gonna want too much money and they’re both gonna find out “how much” people really wanna pay to see them fight, lol. Not as much as they’d imagine. Lol
Nice assessment! I really haven’t even started piecing my prediction together yet but I can never rule out Kambosos again. Lol
Well then I retracts my stupid bull****. The Franchise is an official title these days and the only outlier seems to Haney himself. I didn't check but it'd be a stupid thing to lie about so I'll take your word.
Let's be clear about something though, none of your other points mean **** all and you should drop them from your argument. It's stronger if you just point out the official recognition and no, there's absolutely **** all nothing that claims a uni is an official recognition or that being officially recognized means you dictate moves to the other 3. That's made up nonsense, we have the abc for a reason and we have unis with unrecognized belts all the time. This, and none of the other **** you attributed, is what separates the majors from everything else.
Your arguments are logical in a vacuum, but in reality what makes a sanctioning body "major" is a consensus of broadcasters. If tomorrow Fox, Showtime, ESPN and DAZN all decided to recognize the IBO, the IBO would become a major title regardless of whether the WBO refused to list it in their ratings. If tomorrow Fox, Showtime, ESPN and DAZN all decided not to recognize the WBO, the WBO would become a minor title regardless of whether the IBF continued to list it in their ratings.
The sanctioning bodies only have whatever power television decides to give them. Networks put the sanctioning bodies on the map and they could easily take them off the map. They don't because they like the sanctioning bodies.
Let's not act like Kambosos was just "in the right place at the right time" on the night he fought Lopez but offer up no excuses for Devin sitting around being elevated to championship status via email. By that logic, Haney was in the right place at the right time.
Lightning has struck twice....not for Kambosos though-but, for Haney. He's about to walk into an undisputed clash (if things go as planned) that he hasn't earned. I mean, how many of the lightweights have earned this shot when they refuse to face each other? So, he gets to strike luck TWICE but Kambosos should downplay his victory over Lopez because he had a bad night or whatever?
The present day lightweights are pathetic and it's hard to make excuses for it as this point!
Haney is already hollering about "having a hard time making the weight" but wants to be champion at said weight? Bro, WTF are we supposed to think of a champ that can barely make weight while sit on pins & needles every weigh-in?
First, Teo was "struggling" as well but he's been knocked out of the picture. Devin seems to only be saying it because it's urgent for him, not us. Business STILL has to make sense, Devin! Nobody's going to rush because you said you can't make the weight.
Cryin' Garcia is....well....what about him? He only comes alive during Canelo fight week or on Twitter after a lightweight actually stepped in the ring and fought. Tank is in his own "superstar" bracket so whatever. He's the WBA lightweight champion but who isn't a WBA champion?
These lightweights are deplorable beings, to say the least!
My money's on Bob shutting allllll of this down once and for all and making Lomachenko vs Kambosos in New York, the UK (I believe Loma has fans out there) or Australia. I don't think Eddie touches this one as quickly once Bob gets involved.

That's what I been asking for, yes. Now do it again with the WBA and WBO and you have yourself a sport wide recognized major title.
Franchise World Champion Juan Estrada is listed as WBC champion in the WBA, IBF and WBO ratings. Which by your definition makes the Franchise WBC world championship a sport wide recognized major title and therefore Kambosos is the undisputed champion of the world.

:lol1: Talking about dense? :lol1:
Does the IBF allow their title to be unified with a secondary world title? No.
Does the IBF allow their title to be unified with the Franchise world title? Yes.
Why? Because the Franchise world title is the WBC's top title, not a secondary world title.
Does the IBF list Franchise world champion Juan Estrada in their ratings? Yes. Would they do that if they didn't recognize the Franchise world title? No.
There are plenty of wbc-ibf champions that are not franchise champions at the moment.
No shit, in divisions where the WBC hasn’t created a bullshit franchise title. The point remains the same that the IBF isn’t recognizing secondary champions.
I mean, logically, Lomachenko was the WBC Champion before being “elevated”, he then lost to Teo who lost to Kambosos. So logically, Kambosos is the WBC Champion.
But even if he’s not, Devin Haney DEFINITELY isn’t a legitimate world Champion. That’s for sure.
This is a big reason why the world is crumbling. People really think that they can deny the realities of like that they don’t like.
Women and children get a pass for thinking like this, men don’t.
There are plenty of wbc-ibf champions that are not franchise champions at the moment.
Just as the IBF has been allowed to be unified with the WBA world when there's no super champion in the division. You can't possibly be this dense. You can't unify the IBF with an organization's secondary champion, only their top champion.
There are plenty of wbc-ibf champions that are not franchise champions at the moment.
He's going to just keep playing dumb and skirt around your very valid point as if he never saw or understood it.
:lol1:
In the HW division alone:
Lennox Lewis
Hasim Rahman
Wladimir Klitchsko
Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua
Andy Ruiz
Oleksandr Usyk
You're not making any sense. The IBF doesn't allow their title to be unified with the SECOND TIER title of another organization. They do allow the IBF to be unified with the Franchise world title because it is the WBC's top tier title now.
I recognise Kambosos as Undisputed but only because I don't recognise a WBC belt at Lightweight. They devalued their belts to the point that they simply don't matter.
But he's not the WBC Champion. They caused that. Them trying to rewrite history doesn't change it.
Kambosos is just the caretaker champ anyway, I don't see how others haven't twigged yet that he just happened to be the guy in there when Lopez had a Zab Judah performance.
The next top guy he fights isn't going to roll up woefully underprepared, tight at the weight, totally underestimating Kambosos, with an idiot in his corner, and failing to finish a half dead Kambosos in the 10th
Lightning won't strike twice, the next top 5 who gets Kambosos beats him it's that simple
Big facts. He’s talking big as a marketing tool bc he KNOWS he has to cash out now. Hopefully he can get a soft touch in Australia then cash out, but cash out he will.
Anyone willing to bet me anything at all Haney does not remain has the champion recognized by the IBF as the WBC champion?
The IBF doesn't allow their title to be unified with a second tier title. They do allow their title to be unified with the WBC Franchise world championship because it is now the WBC's top title.
If Haney drops his belt and fights Kambosos for all that he has what then happens to the belt Haney drops? Does it become desolved? Or does it become vacant and gets fought over? What do we call the winner of that belt?
Preferably it gets desolved but that won't happen when Maurice can have both bringing in sanctioning fees.
t's such a mess thanks to Morris, we must of seen this coming as soon as that very 1st franchise belt was created..
Good Question, this is the mess that the WBC created but yeah the more Sanctioning fees they can collect the better that is for them

to the Casual fan who are far from a Hardcore and don't have the time in the day to sit on Boxing Scene Forum all day, when they see this tweet from the WBC itself WTF are they supposed to think honestly? These Belt Organizations need to get their sh^t together and stop with the Bias Corruption. Stop Selling off Ranking Spots and lets guys Earn their shot and more importantly stop with this Multiple Champions Garbage
If you're Haney, you dump that currently WBC Belt in the Garbage and demand that they order you an immediate Mandatory and you get a proper shot. Franchise was said to not be something that could be won and past along and a year or so later it has been past from Loma to Lopez to now Kambosos
So Blame the WBC not the Fans for being Confused as to who TF we should or shouldn't acknowledge as Champion...NO OTHER SPORT has this issue ONLY BOXING!

Loma was universally recognised as the WBC lightweight champion. Lopez won Loma's WBC title then lost it to Kambosos. Whatever the WBC want to call the version of their title that Kambosos now holds, he should be recognised as the legit WBC champion and therefore, as the undisputed lightweight champion.
- - Flapper Lips fighting his level with JoJo for peanuts.
Loma vs Kambo 85K stadium fight in Sydney what fans want to see after Teo ducked Loma to go after a skinny little Aussie who BTFO him in front of Teo hometown fans who cheered Kambo, not Teo.
What grade U in?
Why you asking me what grade I am in? Are you looking to groom me? Are you saying my post is adolescent? Start yours with flappy lips then tell me my post is adolescent? Or is it just creepy grooming?
I'm good with Loma in Australia in front of a massive crowd. All I'm saying is right now we seem to have 2 WBC world champions and I'd like 1, one of them hasn't really earnt the label world champion but that's what we got.
And I'm sure most ppl would agree the full fat and original WBC world title should never of been placed in a position where it is in a secondary position to this new "franchise" champion.
Look, I'd be all for stripping Haney and just handing the title to Kambosos, I just want that full title to belong where it should be and secondary to the franchise is not its rightful place.
