I don't see anyway Porter can win this fight, his only chance to even make it competitive, is too hope that crawford gets emotional, and tries to slug it out with him, crawford hits people with punches they don't see, at angles they don't see, once he gets porters timing down, the fight is gonna be over, broner was able to knock Porter down by catching him off guard, and crawford is the king of catching people off guard
i can see him exposing crawford. hes been fighting higher level opponents for much longer period of time and that ugas performance doesnt look so bad now
There is a few of you guys who have been down on Crawford for the past few years, I can understand the criticism because of the level of competition, I don't think its all been his fault however.
Regardless...you and others are about to find out just how good he is.
If Spence and Thurman (both heavier punchers) couldn't stop Porter, why are people picking Crawford to stop him?
Who was the last person Thurman or spence had knocked out when they faced Porter? Crawford has knocked out his last eight opponents, and styles make fights, spence wears you down with body shots and a high work rate, and Thurman throws a single punch and runs away, Crawford doesn't throw alot of punches, he may even give you the first few rounds, because he getting your timing down, to set you up for a KO, this won't be anything like fighting spence or Thurman for porter
Crawford has urgency and a killer instinct. If he gets you good, the only way is down. Porter, meanwhile, is happy with whatever during a fight, billygoating, wrestling, and stinking joints.
Porter is the best at being a measuring stick for anybody at 147. If your not on your A game when you fight him you will lose. I do think Crawford can stop him though
Nobody has ever had an easy night with Porter, win or lose he’s been very competitive with everyone he’s ever fought. If Crawford beats him clearly whether wide on points or stoppage it’s a very impressive statement IMO.
I think he can possibly stop him too but I’m thinking Crawford on points, I can see him being far more cautious tactically in this fight.
I also think Crawford stops Porter. Crawford has this dog in him that he turns up the tempo once he figures you out and puts a hurting on you. This is Crawford’s coming out party and I think he will go the KO over the tough Porter
I heard Brook, Broner, Thurmon, Garcia, and Spence were all supposed to stop Porter. “He’ll walk into a counter eventually….so sloppy….football player…ect”
people need to start giving Shawn some respect, he loses every upcoming fight by KO according to fans.
Porter's put in SO MUCH work over the years and practically kept the Welterweight division alive. He's ALWAYS the first to step up to a challenge and actually shows up to fight, not just to get paid.
He's accepted challenges and issued a few over the years....which is EXACTLY what we're lacking most divisions in the sport.
Most of boxing fans are poor historians and their recall is just as bad as the men they support who get hit in the head for a living. Go figure.
The Crawford haters already moving the goalposts.
Porter is suddenly nearly 40 and shot. :lol1:

I share your views. I have Bud by abusive KO. I never rated Porter and he has one of the ugliest styles I've seen in boxing. Can't wait for Bud to retire him on his back or face first on the canvas.
Yeah I've been waiting for someone to beat the brakes off Porter. Its gonna be funny if he tries to box from the outside like he did against Ugas. Crawford like most southpaws is open for a good lead straight right hand. Unfortunately for Porter he is terrible at throwing straight punches. Porter thinks he has a good jab but that will get neutralized if Bud is fighting southpaw stance which I believe he will.
I think so too. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s fairly one sided until the stoppage.
The issue I have is who will Crawford fight next? I have no interest in seeing him against anyone other than 2 or 3 fighters.
No but he’s relevant to the forum.
Im just sticking to you’re guys logic.
He’s not relevant to this thread whatsoever. :lol1:
You seem unhealthily obsessed with Canelo man.

I’m just following the pattern the Canelo haters use right?
Floyd was 45 and canelo 29 when he faced him.
Kovalev was 50 and hadnt fought in 5 years.
GGg was 44 too
Why do you always revert your logic back to Canelo?
Believe it or not, he’s not relevant to some topics.

Porter is like 38 now he better stop him lol
Porter is 38 what?
3 foot 8 maybe.
Shawn is actually 34 years old and in his prime.
Im rooting for Porter. It should be a good fight.
