If he's serious about getting a big fight, He should move up to 168 after the Quigley fight and get that automatic title shot against canelo. He either gets the fight, or the title gets dropped and he can fight for the vacant belt.

Canelo will only just vacate the WBO belt like he did the WBC belt against both GGG and Charlo.
By Andrande's next fight he will be:
34 years old
been fighting professionally for 14 years
has beaten absolutely nobody of note, a complete bum hunter. Someone list me Andrandes top 5 wins at age 34. His career is over and it hasnt even started yet. Been fighting fork lift operators and grub hub drivers for 14 years now. jesus christ its pathetic

& guess what Eddie Hearn did when he was faced with this. File for an extension to let the guy who tested positive fight the guy who tested positive.
In order to move up & get an immediate title shot/mandatory in the WBO you have to be the WBO SuperChampion. You can look up the qualifications if you like, long story short Andrade is not.
I always thought wbo champs got priority if they moved up in weight to challenge that division's wbo champ. Isn't that how usyk got the AJ fight?
That’s right
Yeah, he can. But would it actually work out that way? Canelo might not want to do the mandatories now he's unified. A lot of undisputed champs don't hold the belts that long. Andrade might just end up with a vacant title in a dead division.
If his contract is up soon he should go to PBC for Charlo. If not he's in a tricky spot. He could hold out for Golovkin next year but there's no guarantee he gets that. Golovkin has limited options at 160, whereas Canelo is a free agent with options from 160-175. So imo he should target GGG but it does look like he might not get a big fight no matter what he does which is a real shame. I don't consider him elite but would like to see for sure because he has a lot of ability.
This is pretty much how I view this as well. Seems like the GGG will never happen even tho they are both champs in the same division with the same promoter. I figure if he moves up to 168, at least he either forces the canelo fight or the belt gets dropped and he fights someone like BJS for the vacant belt
That would require Andrade to fight someone good, which he will never, ever do.
Andrade:
30 fights
0 world champions on his record
fighting another nobody next
barely beat the likes of Martirosyan, Culcay, Sulecki, and Williams
He wouldn't last 5 rounds with Canelo anyway.
Hmmm, now that I think about it, Andrade should do that, best way for Canelo to go back to DAZN and not deal with those rats and snakes, Hymen and Espinoza. Plus it would be a relatively easy fight for Canelo.
Yes, Andrade could move up to 168 and jump to the front of the line to become Canelo's WBO mando.
Since Andrade is the WBO champion at 160.
The rotation system determines which mandatory is due next, though.
“You want pey dey?”. :lol1:
If anyone doesn’t deserve a Canelo fight it’s Andrade, never beat a champion, only won vacant titles, consistently fights C level guys. Talented fighter but has no ambition and is just looking to cash out.
I think Zack Parker is Canelo's WBO mandatory
