Everyone very dismissive of Loma after a narrow loss but I think he's still got the beating of everyone from 135 down and I think he'd hold his own at 140 too.
He got massively overrated by the Eastern euro fans here.. I get it. But its gone too far the other way now
Loma should be correctly favored in this one. Can’t see Tank winning besides a huge bomb landing.
Tanks power punch connect percentage is high. Also power was proven at 140. Loma will have to be on his bike and can’t stay in pocket with tanks hand speed.
No, but I think you're wrong.
Lomachenko isn't unhittable and is getting up there in years. Could see him collecting the early rounds before getting hurt in the 7th and stopped in latter rounds.
Indeed and Loma always seems to be in range to be hit so if has lost even half a step it might be night-night against Tank! I'd still like to see this fight.
I do too..... But I doubt he can take Tanks power, which makes the fight interesting. Tank ain't just some slugger with no skills, and Loma style puts him at risk to get hit
That’s basically how I see it, Loma definitely outboxes him for X amount of rounds but at some point Tank definitely lands too. Very interesting matchup.
Tank will lay him smooth out and fans will make excuses he waited for Loma to get old.
Wtf....isn't that EXACTLY what they're doing lol??
But yes,the current Loma more than likely still box's tanks ears off. No point in too much thought on it though. Mayweather/Ellerbe will not entertain this fight for another 2-3 yrs anyways.
Nah. He’s got too much handspeed and power. It he lands clean Lomas tiny skull won’t like it
BS, Loma would whip Porky's arse in a bad way. That is the delay with this fight that should've happened 4 years ago.
Everyone is waiting for Loma to get old.
Neofimo won't rematch him because he knows a healthy Loma would KO him.
I’m on the fence with this fight. I can see Loma using his angles and footwork to win but I can also see Davis use his speed and power to win. Hopefully this fight can get made.
You're not the only one. Floyd Mayweather will forever protect Tank from the clutches of the Loma power.
But I think it's moreso Tank than Floyd ... People forget when Floyd mentioned him fighting Loma, and Tank basically threatened to fire Floyd lmao... So idk

Am I the only one who thinks Loma boxes circles around Tank?

The truth. Someone had to say it. I still wanna see it tho before the end of 2022.
he probably would've when this match up meant smth, now he's 33, you want him to circle around now? at this age? the same idiots asking Golovkin to KO guys at his age
Corrales, Castillo 2x, Augustus, Corley, Gatti, Zab, Oscar Dlh, Mosley, Canelo, Pacquiao, Maidana 2x.
All fights floyd “could’ve” lost. But didn’t.
Tank “could’ve” lost to a bigger guy in Barrios. But didnt. Don’t see Rigondeaux move to 140, but he’s the same size as Davis. His own words, Rigo walks around 148. Yet he won’t go to 140. But somehow that’s not a risk for Davis?
Gervonta own words, he walks ~143 but this was some 3 years ago he said this. But the frames and weights are still there. Both 5 foot 5 and both walk around middleweight. Yet, Davis isn’t taking risks?
Davis is doing his part. He is doing work. Give it time and we’ll see what comes but until then, we can’t act like Davis is cherry picking when he isn’t, thus far.
Could've but didn't. Because on his best night he wins. The difference is those other fighters could have their best night and they would lose because FMJ would be better.
Point is you control what you do, and unless Tank has a total off-night he aint losing to anyone they've put him in with so far. Neither was Floyd.
I don't think Tank has quite the same advantages as Lopez (size and reach - or effective reach) - I think Loma should be a pretty heavy favorite in that one, but you never know. I think there is a decent possibility that Loma puts Tank in the matrix. Styles make fights and all that
Loma at his best will box rings around Tank. Which is why unless Loma is shot TMT are never making that fight.
They do not make matches where their top guy can lose. Floyd's career is their blueprint.
