I am now just getting around to watching the Arrivals and we can see that scratch left a slight scar so it was more than a scratch was deep enough to linger. Do you think they still sparred like they normally would have had their been no cut/scratch?
I noticed that the scar was still there too,but at the same time it doesn't directly matter because scars stand out more for White ppl.
(that scar was worse than most fighters get during fights though,so it only matters in context that Canelo hit him with his best punch(left hook to the eye, albeit a intentionally weak left hook that hit his glasses) & he didn't see it coming back at him after himself throwing a slap.
So it matters in that sense because it shows Plant is a level below Canelo reflex/defense wise too,not just offense.
That scratch ain't goin' nowhere! I saw it yesterday clearly during his arrival interview(s). Who knows, though....that cut could make him look cooler and stronger like Sub Zero in Mortal Kombat 3 or some shit.
Hope he uses it to his advantage as I'm sure Canelo is going to target it with the jab and/or left hook early in the fight.
