Lipinets could not miss with his power punches. Sadly for Lipinets, he was the much smaller man. But still, he caught Ennis with some good punches due to Ennis poor defense. Lipinets is a blown up Jr welterweight too. His wins above 140 shows nothing important
I think it’s highly likely that Ennis can end up at 160lbs.
Now to Dulorme, another fighter who has fought as low 135lbs, he was punched in the back of the head, an illegal punch, and never seemed to have recover from that. He was KO’ed quickly after that. Although it might not even matter.
But Dulorme caught Ennis wide open, which Ennis seems to do a lot. So far what I see from him is that his chin is his defense, and he tries to swarm and overpower his opponents. With this style, he is confident that it will be him to catch the opponent and he is willing to take power shots.
Yeah yeah yeah, I worked construction too. Big deal lol. Fck man.
And yeah, thank you for not coming back with any other corny sh/t. The invite to my place of work still stands. We are short-staffed and can use all the internet tough guys in the country. Feel free to PM me for more details. You can even use me as a reference. Thanks guy.
Hahaha you are one tough nut to crack Kev, I appreciate your offer but I'm assuming you are in America after reading the previous post I am in London UK it's not an ideal holiday so I'll respectfully pass on that for now.

I think the better question is who will be the first to make Ennis have to respect their power. Boots didn’t seem shaken by the shots that Dulorme landed so his chin looks sturdy at this point.
Hahahaha man I can't even reply with any substance I won't even attempt although my arms may be small I'm strong as an ox, from my work in construction.

Oh man. Nice “i’m a badass” speech. Now I have to 1up you. It’s the internet. You just wanted to show a picture of yourself, you were dying for this moment weren’t you? You wanted to see who you can get into it with to show your pic and give some Vegeta-like speech you’ve been practicing? Is that your final form in the pic? Like are you about to turn super saiyan?
I work in a state prison. My job is to deal with murderers. You come to the prison I work for, I can tell you through PM. I can give you a tour of my workplace if you want. In fact, if you actually don’t drop out of academy out of fear, they will have me train you in the prison for your first month. You can show me and all of these inmates and officers how tough you are.
If you know you are not a killer, stop it. Stop right there. Drop the whole thing. Do not show any more pictures of yourself with your twig arms. I’d absolutely knock you the F out, with relative ease. Do not give me anymore speeches that sound like you retrieved it from an anime. Go do some curls. Your arms look weak as fck. Watch who you call out. You don’t know who does what here. I am a self-defense instructor at my prison, I started as an officer, train officers, I work in mental health in the prison, etc. I literally deal with people who can poke me with a shank at any given moment.
So, take that into account with your next threatening post towards me, or next picture you post to attempt to intimidate me. I would actually toy with you. Like, I would actually laugh in your face. I sh.t you not, I have literally turned my back on inmates who threaten me, I tell them go ahead, and I turn around and walk away. That’s how many fcks I give at you cornballs’ threats. That is what I think about threats at this point. Believe me or not. I can give you the name of the prison I work for, you can call the prison and ask about me. You can come visit, please.
Also, we are short-staffed and it’s pretty bad here, so you are welcome to apply. Pay is very competitive, great benefits. We need “tough” guys like you bud :lol1:

I'm ready in fighting shape around 175 Ibs
This guy is talking crazy while having elf ears :lol1:
Goofy looking as fck.
”I wouldn’t bother knocking you out.”
Man, stop it :lol1:
Your pitifully long drawn out woe is me response is far more telling and beta than any offerings of mine little kev. I wouldn't bother knocking you out it's not worth the hassle of travelling to and from you. you dont have the mindset nor temperament to even make me contemplate seeing you as a worthy challenge.

I’d knock you out though, for sure :)
Nice response on a boxing forum which consists of fans discussing pros and cons of fighters. You must have a lot of work to do every day? You have to make sure you let posters know about which boxer they can or can’t beat. Sounding beta as hell like always.

Certainly not you ya big stiff idiot.

He is extremely reckless. The angles in which he throws his punches, and how open his chin is while he is swinging, that recklessness won’t fly at the top level.
I think in both his last two fights, his defensive flaws were quite clear.
You can tell that when he loses, it won’t be by decision. He’s going to lose by getting caught with by a fighter who stays poised, picks his shots, weathers the storm, and cracks him with a good punch. Especially when he fights guys closer to his weight.
Id love to see boots vs Danny Garcia
No, it’s a flaw that has been there since the amateurs. His defensive flaws have always been there. It’s not an assessment that he makes and says “oh, my opponent sucks, I can be defensively irresponsible”.
For example, the amateurs are the amateurs, losses there aren’t a big deal. What is a big deal however, is if you keep doing the same mistakes in the pros that you did in the amateurs.
You can see the same exact issues with his defensive holes vs Gary Antuanne Russell where he was outworked and stayed wide open, losing a close fight. Lost 3 times to Gary Russell. He did the same exact mistakes vs Gary Russell that I saw him do vs Lipinets.
Of course his strengths got better, but his weakness is still there. It looks like that will always be his flaw. It does not look like something he will ever change.
I'll check out them fights, i didnt follow Ennis in the amatuers, but yes if its like you say it is,, he is in for trouble as if its been this long with that its now a ingrained habit.
I think Ennis power and precision allows him to shine in all his fights but inbetween these rays of shine you see his flaws and that is he gets tagged clean inbetween his shots..... now.... we must ask ourselves is this because Ennis has already assessed the threat and felt the power from the other person and very calculated decided to sacrifice his defense and go for the kill or is that just his style? and if that's just his style I see big trouble in his future when he meets someone he cant KO who just so happens to have a KO punch themselves. Only time will tell.
I believe his biggest threat will be Vergil Ortiz and I do believe they will meet at 154 (I kinda want them to not meet now and meet at 154 for a great showdown).
Ennis imo has the easier path, He's with the pbc route so he going to be able to get a self war torn Spence, a inactive Thurman, a everyone beats porter etc
Ortiz imo has the harder path, He's going to have to face Crawford and then ??? possibly a taylor if he moves up.
But we shall see rumors are that GBP contract with Dazn ends this year and Dazn will not be renewing so that leaves Oscar with just 2 bonafide choices imo showtime and espn. (I dont think espn is really an option cause this was floated awhile ago and it was understood that Bob Arum has a deal with espn where he controls the boxing so Oscar will have to be under Top Rank Umbrella) so the only real option is showtime and imo that best option because now we are going to get the greatest fights again just like when haymon and oscar worked together.

Then they are dumb, if true. Mayweather was untouchable.
Can you please link me to these articles?
The defense between prime Mayweather and prime Ennis are like night and day. It’s not even close. In the Lipinets fight, Ennis makes Mayweather appear like Pernell Whitaker if you compare their defense.
I am just not convinced at all.
Ennis looks good and all, throwing punches with the explosiveness and quickness of Roy Jones, but with the defense of Juan Manuel Lopez.
I've got all the magazines at my house when I'm back there I'll take some pictures and send them to you in a private message.
This was like, 2000-2004 range, perhaps even earlier I don't entirely remember, around the time he called the HBO contract a slave contract, and the narrative was he will never be able to sell PPV's because he's not a draw. The same narrative at the time was he was a KO waiting to happen too. As absurd as it sounds, and it certainly does, it was a common narrative.
I'll send them over to you in the next few days, if I don't, remind me and I will because they're interesting articles considering how wrong they were.
Maybe you're right, to be honest I haven't watched all that much of Ennis. But I would say I'm impressed. Alot of fighters get hit more when they're in another league to their opponents on the come up.
We'll learn more when he steps up.
That’s pretty silly as Mayweather was damn near untouchable in his prime. He really started getting with harder shots at 140+, where he was outweighed in every single fight. Even a small welter like Zab Judah, had a few pounds on Mayweather on fight night.
Ennis is not close to flawless. His defense is very poor. He is currently winning based on offense. The guy gets hit by some really stupid punches, repeatedly. His size is bailing him out of these stupid punches. Someone closer to his size will hit him with something that he will feel.
That's not true, I think he was hit much more as a younger fighter, a lot of that is down to being more aggressive but some of it was definitely down to Floyd gaining experience and know how. Some of his more high contact fights came against Augustus, Chavez, Castillo, and he was certainly more open at prospect stage. Even at 140 he had a bit of a shootout with Corley.
I think his defence really settled down at 147 when he hit his late 20s/early 30s.
Not sure what you are trying to sell here...
Ennis is doing well, we'll find out more as he goes through the levels. Naturally when you go through those levels you will refine and not be as creative with your offense. I don't see him as a KO waiting to happen
I think Ennis knows right now highlight reels are the only way he progresses in the public but he will eventually get caught and have to show his grit. How far up he goes before finding the right guy to bomb him is the question. What he lacks and can sharpen in defense he makes up for in speed agility and power. I see big things for him in the sport.
I like Boots and think he's incredibly talented and skilled fighter. I have noticed that at times he throws caution to the wind in an effort to blast his opponent out of there. He's been caught clean in several fights He's still only 24, hopefully he tightens up some of that reckless behavior as the competition levels increase.
Much ado about nothing. He seem his opponent was visibly hurt and went in to close the show. Took a couple shots to get the stoppage. Name a fighter besides Tbe who doesn't get hit cleanly
