Okay I am not knocking anyone, in fact I am just using math here...
The reported numbers are in and states that Herring vs Shakur averaged 1.306 Million views but.... lets put that into context.
It had a lead in of 4+ million with the Bama vs Tennessee... which translated to Herring vs Shakur having its peak audience at 2.721 million the very first minute of it telecast... which obviously obscure the true numbers.
Lets do some math...
2.721M
590K
610K
averages out to 1.306 Million. So the first minute of the event where the lead in was 4 million and saw its peak for 1 minute at 2.721 is what drove Herring vs Shakur numbers up.
Great fighter but not yet the star some are claiming him to be,, can he be? sure can just not there yet.
The average telecast was for about two hours, no? If so, the way you broke this down is wrong. They usually use 15 minute intervals so that 2.721M number or whatever it was only makes up 1/8th of the telecast.
And besides, where are you getting the 590k number from?
Stevenson isn't a star yet obviously, but I doubt his fight only did 610k.
