Wilder started pro at 23 years old. Briedis at 24
Wilder actually has more amateur experience than Briedis. Briedis was a Latvian cop that became a boxer.
Briedis is one of the most underrated technically sound boxers who gave Usyk his closest fight to date
Wilder has no excuse to not have technical skills or even the basics
If Wilder became a technical boxer it would have took away from his strengths.
Think of Mayorga..... If he focused on being a better boxer I doubt he would have pulled off that upset vs Vernon Forrest.
there are naturals.
Briedis is a natural.
as much as you hate them. the Paul brothers are naturals. Jake Paul trained boxing for 2 years started in his mid 20's. and he beat the dog chit out of Mayweather who trained since birth. this is a fact of history.
it is irrefutable. Naturals exist.

I think Bredis had kickboxing experience before he boxed.
doesn't matter. There is no excuse for a boxer that has been pro for over a decade not having the ability to throw ONE punch correctly.
