so is Fury considered a powerful puncher?

Yep he’d be far more effective doing that regularly,Fury softens guys up first then really plants down on a big shot here and there but he definitely wasn’t as sharp as last time . Wilder is really lucky the ref stopped the fight and the towel was thrown in could have been worse . I thought Fury was going to kill him...Wilder will never be the same after this fight...he took a horrific beating..but damn was that a brawl...but brawls never end well for either fighters involved

Fury was fighting a zombie. wilder had no strenght or enregy after six rounds. deontsay's heart kep him gfighting past the 7th round

he damn sho twisted into that last right hand Yeah after that grazing left and with wilders hands not blocking and him trapped on the ropes, he knew the big shot was there to take and put a lot into that right hand, twisting his body into it. Thats going to be a pretty big shot esp with wilder exhausted and slow to see it coming.

fury is normally an arm puncher like valuev was. some bigger guys are like that. if you notice both fury and valuev had great stamina considering their size. They also probably had decent results growing up not having to put their full body into their shots, because their arm punches would still have a decent effect so formed that as a style. Arm punches dont leave you as exposed for counters so has that benefit as well. Vitali was also an arm puncher but had a heavy cumulative effect. Fury can try to put more into his shots if hes going for the KO which he was with wilder. So even if he is a softer puncher for his size, its still a 280lb heavyweight, so if hes trying its goign to be hard.

I'll never truly understand ingredients what makes a puncher. But I'm guessing fury is strong and can lift heavywe barbell in deadlift and bench presses.. So that alone with his weight and size you'd think he has ko power. But watching his fight when he's landing they don't seem powerful.

There’s bigger punchers but they still have to have the bravery to push Wilder back and land big shots, or the ability to do it without getting caught. If even if you wanna say AJ hits harder, he’s scared to even try impose himself on a Cruiserweight , do you think he’s going to try to put Wilder on the back foot and land bombs? No, he fights scared Punch power is an overrated asset. It’s useful.

I thought Furys technique looked a little poor tbh . He wasn’t as sharp and he wasn’t twisted into the shots much it was a lot of arm punching , But at the end of the day he’s still a huge fighter if he hits you right it’s going to hurt ,I think his left hand in southpaw stance is his hardest punch when he uses that angle . Yes he had a great round 11 but it took awhile to get there . he damn sho twisted into that last right hand

He's not a 10/10 puncher. But he throws a lot of 6-7/10 punches in volume and accuracy. It's the volume that's the most dangerous

Obviously at 277lbs you're gonna feel those shots, but he lacks proper explosive knockout power. Thats why I think its funny when people are doing the whole "only Fury could do that to Wilder" thing like everyone else is just an inanimate punchbag for Wilder to land on without presenting any offensive danger of their own.

He hits plenty hard enough obviously. He has only used this aggressive style in the last two fights. He came up trying to utilize movement and boxing and didnt emphasize power but still collected over 65% ko rate. Not bad for a guy who isnt looking for a stoppage as the path to victory first. He will continue to get stoppages but he doesnt have the mechanics of a traditional power puncher.

I still don't believe he is a huge puncher. Seeing what Fury can do to Wilder is what makes me think AJ would annihilate Wilder.

No he’s not “powerful” but he throws a lot from awkward angles and Wilder is not a defensive fighter. I see it like Andre Ward as in can’t knock ppl spark out but accumulation and shot placement matter too. Malik was trying to show him how to block shots between rounds. That’s troubling.

I think he punches his weight but he's not a big puncher by the looks of it. It is so hard to tell at heavyweight since they can all punch obviously because they're f.ucking massive. Someone like Joe Joyce's punches look slow but look at what even the jabs do. It probably needs to be shown when going up the levels but by no eye test would it look like much until your eyes look at the other dudes face. Heavies are different.

Fury wants wilder to praise his power like a boy wants his dad to praise him for being a good boy. But wilder should be careful saying fury is feather fisted. Because it's akin to wilder claiming his chin is made of porcelain
