I don't like to rate fights vs others... but I don't think it was better than AJ vs Wlad, but hardly far off.
TBH it was a great fight, but in general it was a fight that was dominated by Fury except one big banana skin round by Wilder dropping him.
Take away round 4 and then it's just a death down.
AJ vs Klitschko had more drama to me and the come back from AJ after being totally gassed for 4 or so rounds was crazy.
I found Wlad-AJ more exciting. Both of them could have gone at any moment. Last night we knew that both guys were able to absorb each others shots, and that neither were likely to finish unless the other guy was dead on his feet. It was fun but it was also a bit more predictable.
How can either look at the performances and say ''Wow, I really looked good in winning :boxing: !!''
I know. Winning is winning and sloppy is sloppy. They don't have to go hand in hand. You don't see this shlt in the lower div.
Nah, the was a high level of tension but from the 5th round on I think we were all waiting for Fury to finish it. There was a question up until around the 7th or 8th round solely because of Wilders power. The Wlad vs Aj fight was extremely compelling because it looked like Wlad had taken the fight over after being hurt badly then really hurting AJ in the 5th round or so then AJ came out in the 11th out of know where it seemed and landed that uppercut from a movie. That was a great fight but this one was too in its own right.
Action-wise, yes.
The Klitschko fight was way too late in his career. The guy practically came out of retirement for a fight with Joshua and it showed. No matter how great of a boxer you are, your age really shows unless you're a Foreman and even his age showed. It's like Lewis-Tyson which wasn't competitive but both made good money from it. Mike was done at that point and so was Klitschko.
No. Wlad vs AJ was genuinely competitive and swung back and forth throughout the course of the fight.
Apart from the 1st round where Fury was taking a look at what Wilder was gonna do, and the 4th where he switched off and got hit with a big shot that led to the 2 knockdowns, Deontay took a bad beating. Worse than the 2nd fight.
Wilder looked better than I thought he would and Fury no where near of what I think he can do but he does come in heavy for a war like this cause he doesn't want a box around the ring and another weird decision
Obviously both fighters showed great heart a great war maybe top 5 heavyweight fights ive seen, but it was a bit sloppy, Fury could do much better than this
No i dont think it was better than Wlad vs AJ, but i haven't seen it in a while,
What a great war and it looks like theres a lot of casual hype over it, great for boxing
Action wise, probably. The skill level was more unevenly distributed in this though. Wilder was pretty much a heavy bag that occasionally throws a speculative right hand.
Neither guy looked good in there tonight. Wilder was Wilder, sloppy and winging shots, and lucky for him, a few landed to put Fury down. Fury, well, I believe the reports that he didn't train much at all, because his reflexes and head movement were horrible. At the end of the night, his boxing experience won him the fight, although he could have been taken out himself. Yes, it was a great fight for all the drama and excitement, so I'm happy. But Wilder needs to contemplate a whole new training team or retirement, and Fury needs to reflect on his lack of discipline to train and stay in shape. Usyk would beat either man that fought tonight, and that's a crazy thought, seeing how big these boys are.
