I feel like Teo won the first 6 or so by default. I didn't see Loma throwing many punches at all in those rounds. There were a couple rounds where I don't know if I had him throwing a a punch at all.
I thought he had Teo on the ropes a couple times late but couldn't quite get it done. Props to Loma for taking that fight and not draining or waiting out Lopez however. Most guys would have avoided that one, or given Teo a poison pill before the fight.
There are some interesting videos out there on this subject. I don't know how much you want to entertain this, but this guy put out a good video that points out some things, just on the rounds that Loma says he won.

There's another one on the 12th round, where the guy goes over the rules again and whatnot. That one is very interesting too. I do recommend watching them when you get a chance. It might not change your mind but you never know.

I'm going to step in here. I have Lomachenko vs Lopez as a draw. So too did a lot of otters who know boxing very well. And then on closer inspection, it was clear that some of those punches I thought Teofimo landed were actually blocked. He punches so quickly that it's hard to tell. But after the fact, it was clear he hadn't landed many of his punches. In fact, Teofimo's best round was the last round because he connected cleanly a couple of times.
I always score a fight on clean, effective punches. The other criteria come into play based on that first criterium. Aggression is only effective when the punches are landing cleanly. Ring generalship is not necessarily the one that is controlling the center of the ring, and you can't be the general if you aren't landing cleanly. And if the punches are not clean, then they are not effective. The one who has the better defense tends to make the other boxer not land cleanly, so again, it can't be effective.
If you think that fight was well in Teofimo's favor, I suggest you watch it again because there are things that you missed (addressing anyone reading this).

Excuse me? No Loma would have been lucky to get to 5 rounds in that fight. Nice try, but I'm one of the few guys on here who doesn't score along tribal lines.
I'll remember that little dig though, says a lot about you!!

8-4 Kovalev - not even close, complete robbery decision. Kovalev was up 5-1 (6-0 was better than 4-2) and the last 6 rounds were probably 3-3. 4 rounds to Ward is probably overly fair.
No issue with Horn winning, I think I had it 7-5 to Horn but could see a draw. Horn used his size well in that fight, I don't think he got too dirty at all really. Was a physical fight where he used his advantages well.
Never really scored it but my feeling was Ugas was the better man that night. Seemed close but again never scored it.
One of the few apparently who had that a draw. First 6 rounds I had even, then the last 6 Fury dominated but he got dropped twice. So a draw is what I had and I think it was fair. I could see 8-4 to Fury as well though, getting him a win.
The first 3 I watched live, the last one I watched the next day on Youtube.

How about you?
7-5 kovalev even though I'm a huge Ward fan. I agree with all your verdicts of the fights. I had Fury winning but with 2 knockdowns and i vividly recall Wilder winning a round early, a draw is feasible
Hey i have to get a feel of who I'm talking to:beerchug:
WARD VS KOVALEV 1
PAC VS JEFF HORN
PORTER VS UGAS
FURY VS WILDER 1
Now if you can tell me who you had winning and your scores. We don't see eye to eye but you are honest, somewhat impartial.

Fair enough. For the record i picked Lomachenko beating Teofimo but i scored the fight 8-4 , 7-5 at worst to Teofimo. I have this feeling you scored the fight a draw?

Pretty much done. The Murata fight is a cashout.
If he somehow wins, he'll look to further cashout against Canelo or maybe a gimmick payday like Anderson Silva.
His career is done, he's just collecting checks until he loses.
I just agreed with him more or less on that one. His analysis was pretty sound. I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time in this sport. For the record he picked Canelo to win going into that fight as well

I know you will find this very hard to believe but Atlas has said some outlandish nonsense and scored some controversial decisions that the general consensus didnt agree but if he is your go to guy so be it .

You said he was deluded if he had it 9-3. I just said that Atlas had it virtually the same way

Thanks man. Oh sure, he'd have a better following had he been from the UK or the US. Honestly, had he been from the UK, he would have an entire country behind him. He's also not one for talking. He says very few words, even in his native language, and that's hard to market.
Anyway, I'm kind of tripping right now. Here are the official scorecards:

They all gave the first round to Golovkin, and I'm not sure how that's possible. I mean, it was a very close first round, but I think Canelo edged that. Everyone seems to have scored that for Golovkin, and if you score the fight again, I'm curious as to how you scored the first round. And if anyone knows what the justification had been for all judges giving the first round to GGG, I'd love to know. I suppose it was so close that maybe they gave it to the champion. But for me, I think Canelo did more, landed a couple more clean shots and was able to slip most of GGG's punches will applying pressure.
I don't know man. Freedman gave the 12th to GGG but the others gave it to Canelo. I suppose it's the angle at which one sits. Or the side, rather. I've always thought that it's much easier to score a fight from a TV than sitting at ringside because we get to see all the various camera angles. In that respect, our scorecards should be more accurate than the judges.
I can see several of these rounds being swing rounds, but giving any of the later rounds to Canelo, except for the 12th because Gennady landed a lot of uppercuts, seems strange. I suppose those blows, however, can be hard to see if you're sitting at a bad angle.
Either way, when I look online at how people scored this fight, I see the majority thinking that Gennady won or, at the very least, that it should be a draw. I don't see too many saying that Canelo rightfully won. The only difference is that everyone said it was much closer than the first fight.
lol Man, it's been several years since I've really thought about this fight.
I'll have to watch it rd by rd again and see where my score comes out.
Watching it live, and every other time I've watched, I felt the first 4 rounds were pretty even (iirc) and then even 5 and 6 were competitive. But I always have had GGG up 4-2. The last 6, GGG starts to find his stride more and Canelo slows down, and GGG takes those 4-2. It's always been a struggle for me to find even 5 rounds for Canelo in either fight. He doesn't have 1 clear round in either fight.
Lets not debate who had who, as there were several trainers ,boxing Analyst, judges , former/current boxers that had Canelo but what does that prove?
You said he was deluded if he had it 9-3. I just said that Atlas had it virtually the same way
I watched the Canelo vs GGG 2 the other day and that was the first time i thought GGG was going to get knocked out. Canelo made a life long come forward power puncher fight like sweet pea and was on his toes on the backfoot for at least 8 of those rounds. i had Canelo in that fight and his corner had no complaints. The first fight GGG was robbed
Watch the fight again. The only fighter's back to touch the ropes was Canelo's.
