I think Porter has all the tools in his arsenal to beat Bud. I think so more now than ever before because Ortiz whooped Green machine worse than Bud did in 1 rd rd sooner,
& most of you said Ortiz had to do exactly that before he can talk anything to Bud or be worthy, etc. Because you all said you don't think he would ko green machine because supposedly he was such a dangerous worthy win for Bud who deserves so much respect (You all know who you are, don't make me call you out)
I can easily see Porter getting robbed by Bud,I can see it being a worse version of ggg v Jacobs in scoring or Pac v Bradley where at worst its a tossup fight, but the cards say Bud won clearly by several rds.
Because they know Spence v Bud is now more likely than ever before to be next if Bud wins & Pac retires or if he doesn't,judges know Bud v Spence would sell 1.5 mil ppvs,& that drama like Spences injuries only make the fight bigger,
I think Politics will make it hard for Porter to win on pts even if he deserves it,but I can just as easily see Porter stopping Bud or winning 8 rds.
Porter has the experience, not Bud. Porters already fought virtually every Phantasy boogieman & went toe to toe with all of em & has argument he beat them all.
They haven't released the lines yet but I see Porter as the favorite going in. I expect the line to have bud a 2-1 fav or thereabouts, but my line based on reality would have Porter as the 2-1 favorite.
Am I right or why am I wrong?
You can't use a resume to win a fight. I would not be surprised if Crawford stopped Porter and yes I know, Spence didn't stop him.
Spence barely even eked out a win, which was a surprise.
We know one thing: Porter comes to fight and he’s not afraid to get physical and make it an ugly fight. Can he win? I’m not so sure but we haven’t seen Crawford really tested so it will be a different fight for him.
Im still not convinced it actually happens though. Too many hoops to jump through for a fight with not much value.
I think Crawford is better than prime Brook, Thurman and Spence, these are the guys Porter lost to. Porter also arguably lost to Ugas. Sure, Porter is more war proven at 147, but he nearly always fails at top level.
I believe Crawford wins in competitive fight, the same as Jermall Charlo beat Derevyanchenko, even though Derevyanchenko was more war proven in tough fights.
What makes you think Bud stops him when Spence couldn't who I thought everyone agrees hits harder? Its amazing to think how many excellent wws Porters faced already,he has basically literally fought everyone in this era who is considered elite. Its astonishing how lil credit ppl give him despite that fact.
I've always felt Crawford is the bigger / better puncher than Spence. Yes, Spence is the bigger guy but I feel it's more of an accumulation thing where Crawford has fight altering power and it's worth noting he's got 7 consecutive stoppages. Sure, we can make arguments about the level of opposition but I guess the same argument can be said about Spence's KO's also coming against "lesser competition"? It's subjective until they get in there but from my perspective I see Crawford being the the bigger, more effective puncher.
As far as Porter is concerned he's always been really tough. I just see him walking into something recklessly with Crawford timing him perfect. Adrien Broner managed to drop Porter too late in their fight. I can't see at all where Porter's not dropped or hurt when he and Crawford fight, but we'll see.
What does that have to do? But no he was the heavy heavy underdog because he was washed as sht & had a glass face that shattered & was replaced with steel rebar & concrete puddy that crumbled to stress fractures when a strong wind is blowing...:lol1:
Ahhh sorry I didn't realise you were the sanctioning medic for that fight. Sounds like you know what I was getting at by the very bitter defensive answer.
Crawford would likely be a 3/1 favorite. I actually think Crawford will be the 1st to stop Porter.

Was Kel Brook the favourite against Crawford?

Mentally masterbating over whose the favorite is a waste of time. That said, Crawford is anything but PREDICTABLE. I love Porter, but he’s very predictable.
I think your point is reasonable, even if I disagree with you. There is something to be said for his having the better resume, but that alone shouldn't set the favorite in my opinion. Styles still make fights and no matter his competition I still put value in the eye test (it also cannot be trusted alone, of course). I think Bud is equipped to handle Porter. He has the pop and the boxing skill to make for an entertaining but punishing fight. I think he breaks down Porter with superior footwork, I think he'll invest to the body, and I think by doing those two things he'll more effectively keep porter at range. In doing so he can keep Porter at the end of his own punches and scores a clear, likely convincing win.
But hey, that's why they fight, right? Arguments can be made for either guy here so there's only one way to solve it! :boxing:
