...main reason why he's not getting fights?
He's all pumped up in his last fight at the end of last year
at Fox and appears ready to fight three times this year.
It's almost a year since his fight with a cab driver.
What the heck happened?
He said he's returning on Tank's undercard in December.
It's obvious it's not Joyce he'll be fighting in whatever last minute fight he'll be in to close the year.
That fight has sailed long time ago. Three years exactly. Joyce and Ortiz said yes to the fight.
Not Fox, not Showtime, not PBC were interested in making the fight.
Things change.
Lots of things happen in a week, let alone 3 years. Priorities for Joyce change, same thing with others.
So I'm guessing Ortiz will showcase another time-wasting, meaningless fight, then wait for another year....
Any word from Mike Coppinger about Luis Ortiz next fight?
It's been almost a year since his meaningless fight with a cab driver.
He said he's returning on Tank's undercard in December.
How much was he demanding and to fight who?
Well, he and his team quickly accepted the Flores fight, which took him less than 2 minutes to win.
It's obviously a stay-busy fight declaring, "I'm here, Eddie Hearn, we'll be waiting for your next million $$$ offer."
"We're not gonna take serious fights to make sure it won't jeopardize our quest for million dollar fights."
Unfortunately, the clock is ticking for him and no million $$$ offers are being sent.
The man is in his late fifties by now, give him a break.
In all seriousness his career is over. He's got his two paydays, he's an older guy and he isn't going to get off the couch to train for eight weeks for another staybusy fight.
He's going to sit on that couch until a Dillion Whyte or Andy Ruiz or whomever calls him up to try and get his scalp on their resume. Period.
Theres no real gage to back that up though . He’s been averaging 10 rounds against low tier opponents, Flores doesn’t even count it lasted 45 seconds and he’s not even B level . I think most in top 10 would have a great chance lasting the entire fight at this point because Ortiz has done 1 round in almost 2 years by the time he fights again .
Yet most in the top 10 refuse to fight him for some reason. That says it all.
High risk, low reward. Skilled south paw wit4 a lot of power. Enough to take out most heavies even at 42. If you outlast him past 7 or 8 rounds, you win, but most won't.
Ortiz turned it down . The WBC could make that fight by ordering it but they also want to keep him from losing should Wilder get by Fury because that’s a go to target .
What's your source?
In the refrigerator at the moment .
So no source at all? Shameless.
....
Luis Ortiz should of fired off his management and promoter when they chose to keep quiet about an offer to fight Anthony Joshua and lied to Joshua's ppl about Ortiz being on holiday when he was actually in the gym and ready to fight.
When you got your handlers screwing you over when you could be fighting for a number of world titles and the biggest purse of your career it's no wonder his career is turd.
He has been used and abused and pushed as some sort of avoided Bogeyman when the reality is he is being kept away from the higher end fighters so it makes Wilder's wins over him look as impressive as possible. Which to me shows they don't have much faith in him cuz if they put him in with the higher end fighters and he best them then THAT is what would make Wilder's wins over him all that more impressive.
I'd like to see him and Frank Sanchez fight. Maybe he can fight the winner of Sanchez and Ajagba. That's a step in the right direction for Sanchez or Ajagba IMO
Did Ortiz ever had a real interes to fight somebody like Kownacki, Ruiz, Hunter, Martin?
Nobody knows what's going on inside the PBC mystery house.
Everything is exposed when it comes to TR, GBP, DAZN, Matchroom...
Not in the PBC mystery house. Nobody knows who is ducking who and
who turned down fights.
Where TF is Coppinger? How come this guy is nowhere to be found,
and he's only reporting favourable things about PBC?

What the heck happened?
Maybe... and we also have limited activity as a whole... sometimes there is a totality of circumstances...
It's certainly not the time to be picky.
