His timing is fine, its his stamina that has slipped. I mean cmon he is 42 now. Something has to give, BUT his defense is much better now then it was in 2012.
Actually you have a point there. It must be the stamina that made a difference to him.. but the trade off is now that he's older he's wiser and has better defense. An evolution of an old timer..
I see him now as Yoda. Old but still deadly hehe
I think that's what's diminished. It's not the speed, but the accuracy of his shots.
Since, he still got the speed even at age 42. What is lost is the accuracy and the stamina.
Something has to lessen now that he's 42, and what's more apparent is not the speed, since it's still there, but the timing and stamina must be a tad bit lower than before.

You went off topic by mentioning Floyd's name at all.
To answer your question, Pac is still fast but not as fast as he was in his prime years, obviously. His timing and relfexes have also slipped. He's 42. It's nothing out of the ordinary.
No, I wasn't I was talking to a sensitive Fl0mo going off topic. Try to keep up.
lol another sensitive fl0mo affected and going off topic to save froid roid. :lol1::Flush:

They say the first thing to go us speed. I dont see it with him. I did notice he tires more. I still think a 10 year younger Pac knocks out Thurman in the 6th round permanently
You can’t look at a guy in the gym and say this and that. That’s why I hardly look at gym footage. The gym footage that you see is just a small snippet of what a guy is doing. Like a minute or 2 minutes worth of work. Training camp is hours upon hours of work. What does Pac look like when the cameras aren’t rolling? Unless you are a part of the training camp and are there with him everyday, you can’t say anything in regards to how he really looks.
I’ll save my opinions on fight night.
Groupies love gym activities.
His timing/accuracy is a little off
Not enough to not land but enough to not land in the sweet spot
Speed is still there

He hasn't fought for two years, but back in the Thurman right, that was prime Pac. He hadn't lost anything. I will assess him during the Spence fight and let you all know if he is still prime Pac or not. Nash out
No one cares about Nash's assessment. Nacho out.
Pacquiao was never the most tactical or creative fighter in my opinion. Like the way racing car drivers evolve in their careers, maybe Pacquiao has evolved in being able to read a fight 'Know when to attack, defend, push and anticipate' It was the ability to read a fight and anticipate his opponents moves which made Mayweather appear to have more speed than he actually did etc
Mayweather was more eroded than Pacquiao when they fought. The pure athletic only area Mayweather was better in was movement.
But even still Mayweather appeared to just be operating 1 level above Pacquiao 'Like a snooker player 3 shots ahead of the game'.
Pacquiao may have improved in these areas 'If he can land on Thurman, he can land on Spence Junior'.
Note: Pacquiao needs to somehow get himself back in that condition or even better i.e The condition for the Keith Thurman fight.
Yes we know Floyd's strength is movement, running hugging, spoiling. And even though has fast hands punching is not a strong point, no combinations, little power.
Pac is slower now but he still hits hard and combinations are there and has experience so he has a lot going for him, PACs not easy to hit also

He lost like around 30% of his speed. But it seems it has nothing to do with age but his body finally acclimated to the 147 pound division.
What he lost in age was his dynamism. But you could argue that he became less dynamic and more conservative after the Marquez KO.
That KO loss may have been a blessing in disguise cos it prolonged his career.

lol so affected.. Nothing to do with the topic.
I've been clear in my posts I see this as a 50/50 fight. Pac can lose here.. I'm not like Floyd fan boys that put Floyd in a pedestal of fake reality that he can never lose.
Secondly, I have given Marquez props for winning their 4th fight with Pacquiao, but Floyd didn't win in the Castillo fight 1, Maidana 1, and the Pacquiao fight. I'm saying this to show I give props to real wins. Marquez did. That was a real win.
Anyway. Stay on topic. You can say what you want about Pac's speed. It's the topic in my thread.
Floyd ruined your life
