Manny has fought Spence’s before in his career, no problem. Spence has never fought a Manny.
This will be an easy fight for Manny, just like Thurman was an easy fight for Manny.
Im looking at Thurman having a long lay off major surgeries nearly stopped by a B grader and being 70% and he was seen gambling at 3 am on fight day.
In the fight he tired and over the last 3-4 rounds he hardly threw a right hand, and had more surgery after the fight.
I think people are seeing Thurman as in name value, I think he was a shadow of his best, Spence is a different animal, I see Manny maybe 6 up and Spence coming home like a train, it all depends on how Spence takes his shots and for how long Manny can keep some space and angles, it's Spences physicality that will make the difference as rounds go by.
manny also took the thurman fight 6 months from fighting broner.. he fought broner in jan, and fought thurman in july, so that's like what a few months rest only??
the thing with pac is when thurman started turning it up, pac also came right back and shifted the ball back in his court... that's the thing with manny.. when he's getting beat up on, he doesnt just cover up, he'll come right back and start landing shots of his own.. spence fights norhing like floyd, so spence ill have to KO manny to win.
To me Spence at 60% is still a tough night for anyone. Especially Pac. The gameplan for Pac is going to be similar to the ones he’s used against all Clottey, Margarito, ODH, etc. However, after the initial speed slows down and the heart rates settle in rounds 4-9. You will see a huge translation. You will see a gear physically that the aforementioned didn’t have, as well as, adjustments. Neither of those guys were stopped and that was a faster more dominant Pac.
It will be like Pacquiao -Margarito. Spence fans will claim Spence is not the same, past his prime..
The Margarito* that fought Pac was not the same and past prime. Like, literally. It's the only reason Pac chose him and the odds reflected it. Pac is an underdog here so no one thinks Spence is damaged goods or shot. Not sure if any Spence fan has brought up the car crash.
10th round thurman doing the running man!! pac never came close to being hurt like the way thurman was.. you overlooking the kd... pac landed a lot of other shots thru out the fight.. thurman landed some clean shot that made pac's head snap back.. that always happen to pac, it's nothing new.
you are looking at things like that and saying thurman wins if you take away the knockdown lol!! but overlooking thurman running around the whole ring in the 10th from the body shot. imagine if thurman came close to doing that to pac, you would have said thurman won! lol.
Pacquiao only landed 113 out of 340 of his power punches (33%) against Thurman's 192 out of 443 power punches (43%). Pacquiao was the busier fighter and had a difference of more than 100 punches compared to Thurman. Total punch stats were 195 out of 686 (28%) for Pacquiao and 210 out of 571 (37%) for Thurman.

That flash knockdown won it for him.

Pac has had a cakewalk of a career at WW (aside from JMM). He didn't fight anyone who really punished him.
May was not going to brutalize Pac physically.
Horn was dirty AF....that's about it. 98% of his WW career has been carefully crafted.
After a decade of easy touches, he finally steps up.

Spence is not broken, and broken Thurman wasnt easy it was a split decision, take away the soft KD and Thurman wins.

Easy fight for Manny.
Manny opens up and takes the first 3 rounds. Spence has problems figuring out Manny’s timing but does manage to take rounds 4 and 5.
Manny comes back in strong with quick feints and awkward angle punches, stunning Spence and forcing him to adjust. Manny takes rounds 6, 8 and 9. Spence does some good boxing rounds 10-11 but Manny closes round 12 with a knockdown and is crowned winner by UD.
