Crawford is a Harder Fight for Manny than Spence

Crawford is a counter puncher with legs and does pose a harder challenge for Manny than somebody that presses a fight.

Disagree. Spence is just going to be hitting a lot of gloves and try to make Pacquiao use all his energy into defending if Pacquiao doesn’t have him timid and second guessing. Spence doesn’t do a lot of damage because doesn’t land much of anything clean, just like we saw vs Mikey and Danny Garcia. Pacquiao is no Porter who is a terrible defender, so turning into overhands all night is unlikely. Crawford would hurt Pacquiao. Pacquiao could be winning and on the turn of the dime get caught and then would come some real damage. It depends on Spence gameplan...... If he chooses to fight like he did vs Brook it's gonna be damaging. Which I feel will happen.. Mikey and Danny never had a chance so Spence didn't have to do much... But Manny, Porter, Brook comes to fight and have too much heart. And yes Crawford will hurt Pac too, but I think he would finish Pac quicker

Granted, there both great fights, but I think Crawford presents a greater challenge to Manny than Spence. Spence has size, overall good fundamentals, good cardio, and pressure but he doesn't seem as "gifted" or talented as Crawford. Neither has better speed than Manny but Crawfords unique style stands a better chance of catching Manny. Spence is too straight up and down... He is big and walks down his opponents, but doing that with Manny is a dangerous strategy... I can see him getting lit up by combinations as he tries to pressure Manny then reverting back to boxing from a distance and using his jab.... No one has really bullied Manny like that... Unless you catch Manny with something huge at the absolute perfect time (ala Marquez) you're not going to knock him out... Crawford has better timing and could potentially catch Manny with something... Crawford also has a mean streak in him that really comes out when the other fighters starts to get too aggressive... I think Crawford-Pacquiao is a WAR... whereas Spence-Pacquiao is more of a boxing chessmatch with moments of actions here and there... I do not think Spence will maintain consistence pressure throughout twelve rounds and try to get Manny out of there.... He will be content to try to win on points. I agree and think that is why he choose Spence. Spence is a beast in that ring but he has shown that he can get hit.

i don't agree with that unless there's some kind of lingering affects from the layoff and the injury. we never really found out if he had a head injury, but supposedly he had facial trauma and that will almost surely involve an amount of head trauma, given the kind of wreck he was in. spence is a good deal bigger than crawford and that surely matters here. crawford started his career as a big lightweight. spence started his career at around 150 lbs and competed in the olympics at 152. he's a career welterweight and a good sized one at that. spence's recent win over danny isn't anything to write home about, but it beats the last few years of crawford fighting washed up brits and the jeff horns of the world

Spence being so big means his chin will potentially hold up to anything Manny throws... Sort of how Margarito easily took everything Manny threw... Of course, Spence is more talented and dangerous than Margarito... Crawford, however, might be more susceptible to getting KO'd, and I don't think he's ever been hit by someone as powerful as Manny.
