Ramirez arguably won the fight yesterday, and for sure he won at least 6 rounds. Nevertheless, whether you think he won or not, Ramirez fought his ass off and took it to Taylor in the early and late rounds. He was knocked down twice and was severely hurt, yet he got up like a warrior and fought on and despite being hurt won at least 4 of the last rounds. Why is there no appreciation for this humble warrior? Is it because he made Taylor, who was supposedly on another level, look ordinary and arguable beat him? I don’t get it. Ramirez represents everything that’s great about this sport, and he’s a great person outside of it, yet I hardly see any love for him. Yet on the other hand you have people praising people who are utter dicks and I don’t get it. Either way, Ramirez will be back stronger than ever and I look forward to seeing him show his skills and warrior spirit. :boxing:
I don`t want to see this Mexican overrated guy ever again. First he avoided the tournament at 140, then he clearly lost to the guy American casuals call Euro bum.
Fu.ck him.
Ramirez actually deserves more praise for his gutsy performance. With that said, you have to be straight of delusional to think that Ramirez has any case for winning the fight or even coming close. Taylor landed the cleaner shots all night and most of Ramirez's flurries were falling short or only partially landing. The only clear Ramirez round was round 3
TBH. 5 other rounds could swing in Ramirez's direction. The rest of the rounds were dominated by Taylor.
he lost and got knocked down by a more talented fighter twice...nothing to be ashamed of and he fought admirably...but he still got knocked down twice and once floored real good by a sweet uppercut....we arent giving style points for taking a vicious shot and getting up...trust me i get it.....but scores shouldnt have been that close either...whatevs
LOL Taylor let up on the gas Ramirez did not. Even after the 2nd knock down Ramirez had no quit in him. The right man won but Ramirez get the "Mas Chingon" award.
He had ZERO case of winning the fight. For that to happen he would have had to win 8 rounds and that didn't happen.
The scorecards were fair as I had the fight the exact same way but it could have even been 115-111 Taylor. Ramirez won 5-6 rounds and definitely was competitive and showed a lot of heart after getting up and fighting the way he did to close the fight out.
He did not arguably win the fight. But he fought like a true warrior and has nothing to be ashamed of.
He definitely has a case for having won the fight. Either way, many people said before the fight that he’d be utterly dominated and that Taylor was on another level, yet the fight did not reflect that. Yes, Taylor scored 2 kd and credit to him for that, but one round or two kd do not define a fight. If you look at the entirety of the fight, round by round, Taylor did not separate himself from Ramirez, and most certainly did not dominate. I see nothing special in Taylor and in fact, this fight proved to me once again that he can’t dominate decent opposition, and I can only imagine how he’ll fare to A-level competition. Ortiz wrecks him that much is certain.
He doesn’t get love and praise because he lost to someone who’s being pitched as a Terence Crawford opponent.
The PBC fans need Ramirez and Taylor to suck or it potentially hurts their narrative that Crawford won’t fight anyone.
This is true. This is the same reason why they say that Maurice Hooker was a great opponent when Ortiz knocked him out. But he was a bum when Ramirez knocked him out. The truth always comes to light when you use fanboy logic instead of real logic, eventually the truth will always show.
