Finally a UK fighter has come to the US and wone a fight.
Brits must be creaming their pants but tbh Taylor is Scottish so does it still count as a win for the Brits.
I'm from Australia.
Even though we got colonized by the Brits I don't consider myself British.
I'm a Aussie thru and thru.
But cause we have ties with the UK don't mean I claim boxers that are doing well as one of one own but I'm sure alot if Brits will be using Josh as a testament for being a great British boxer.
He is a great British boxer.
Cant explain it another way.
I tried to be a bit nuanced with it, lol
See Robbie's answer. That is the black and white.
I'm throwing the towel in here.
If have misinterpreted that then I apologise.
But really it is a massive question to ask and in boxing and sporting terms of course he is British.
I think some people your side of the pond see Brits as purely being English. Obviously Scotland is clung to the same pretty small piece of rock and historically have tried to extricate themselves from the clutches of England many times. Previously voting down on a referendum on Scottish independence only recently which they might get to vote on again at some point.
They have a devolved government with some power and a first minister but they also about 60 MPs in Westminister.
The question would be do Scottish people feel British? I dunno. The majority did. The last time they had a vote.
To Welsh people feel British? Do Catholics in Northern Ireland feel British?
Do English people feel British? I mean how many people would really want to be associated with a colonial past. I'm talking Indians born in England, black English people, hell even white people of Irish decent.
In terms of boxing though the system is just a bit small. The gyms, the trainers, even the fan bases will support the same boxers. Same with most sport.
Other than football.

Well I didn't grow up in the UK but would like to know if Britian considered Scottish boxers as one of them.
Or only when it suits them which is what I feel is happening now with Taylor.

I think what you were attempting to do is say Taylor isn't a Brit because he's Scottish and thus trolling?
If not then no.
No I don't.

Congrats To Taylor! I'm American and was rooting for Taylor as seen in the Fight Thread, I typically Root for the more SKILLED BOXER I guess
Regardless good performance from Taylor and I'm GLAD they did not rob him but those 2 Knockdowns made it impossible to do so
Kenny Bayless if the ONLY reason why Ramirez survived IMO, probably stopped him after the 1st Knock Down if Bayless didn't buy Ramirez extra time to recover with his BS pretending to check on him and telling Taylor to get back which bout Ramirez extra time to recover then that IDIOT did it again after the 2nd Knockdown
Bro I don't pretend to be a scholar or a grammar writer.
So unless you can't grasp the simplistic ideation of my post then what does that make you.

Cracking geography in the opening post as usual.

Finally? Tyson Fury was an essential character for tonight’s broadcast.. lol
Well you can count a gypsy as a man with no home.
So in truth Josh is the first big fight to come thru.
Yep he even with biased judges. Always got to fight the judges in the US. On another note. WTF has happened to Mexican boxing? Canelo is carrying them. Where's all the top quality little guys gone?
What are you talking about? There are plenty of Mexican and Mexican American champions and prospects. They’ve basically cleaned up al the UL fighters they’ve faced, and they would’ve continued the streak had Ramirez not been robbed tonight.

Great win by Josh but do Brits count it as a win for them considering Scott's and Britts aren't exactly keen on each other.
