such an ass ref. He tried to save Ramirez. It almost made me sick to my stomach the shit he was doing. Giving Ramirez time to recover and standing in his way and holding his arms up ready to break when they weren’t even holding each other. Tonight he was about as sorry a ref as I’ve seen in a long time.
Congrats to Taylor. He clearly won and 114-112 score is a disgrace to the sport.
I wouldn't say that's why Bayless sucked in this fight. I think he did a poor job enforcing the rules. These refs in boxing hardly ever referee. Some major fights would look a lot different if the rules and point deductions were strictly enforced. As for the count, I thought Bayless was just trying to make sure Ramirez was good to continue. I actually like that approach in making a fighter move sideways before resuming action, it's a brief moment that a fighter can prove that they are okay. There are other refs that would've judged Ramirez unfit to continue and you would've had a 7th round tko for Taylor. I think at this level of the sport, it's okay to ask a fighter to move laterally before resuming a championship bout.
To be fair, Taylor was in the middle of the ring after the knockdowns (especially after the 2nd one) so whatever extra time Ramirez was negated by him breaking the rules and not standing in the neutral corner.
I see Bayless took lessons from unfair and infirm Joe Cortez before the fight.
Aye they always used Cortez until Floyd v Ortiz then he was chucked for the Bayless and Tony weeks tag team lol. A shame coz until tonight I thought Kenny was no to bad a ref.
Well considering there was like 15 clinches by that point youd think bayless would of been consistent on breaking them up instead of telling telling them to stop and just changing his mind. Honestly he could of deducted points for all that clinching.
have you seen floyd-maidana 29(bayless' try out for the pac fight)? it was nothing but clinching. i feel bad for anyone that paid for it since that completely ruined any "fight"
ill give him another 20 years but if he doesnt learn the rules by then im gonna have to dock his pay
Lol of course you would suddenly appear when I channelled my inner daggum with that post.
Hey he's only been reffing pro fights for 29 years give the man a break!

The 2nd knockdown. he pulled the Jack Reiss of "walk over here, walk over there.." and then he said "fight" and after that, remembered he hadn't wiped his gloves... It was silly

Interestingly Taylor fans think he gave long counts and Ramirez fans in another forum think he allowed too much holding. Only thing universal is he sucks as a ref.
I didn't have a dog in the race buddy. You can't find one post on this entire forum of me wanting one guy to win over the other. I just stated what i saw.
Kenny "Baby-sitter" Bayless doing his thang!
I never want to see this crook in the ring again. So tired of his obvious company-man protection plan for every big fight.
But he's TMR (The Money Ref) So you know he'll be back for Mayweather/Paul. Hell, his ass flew out to Japan for the Nakumara fight :lol1:

Oh I know, I was more making a joke, because he pulled the same shit with the first knock down, just without the glove wipe. He also kept turning around and telling Taylor to go back further lol. The second one took about 25 seconds though. I'd love to see someone time it.

The bias was always going to be there, I think Taylor is an idiot for not pushing more in the past couple rounds, was he expecting to really get fair judging and reffing.
