“Ramirez almost won” “ Taylor scraped the win” “he’s a hype job”. Yeah you’re not salty at all. :lol1:
He is not anything special,he BARELY scraped past Ramirez who I've been saying was nothing special,& Taylor BARELY scraped past t rex rrms Prograis & Postol(despite 3 robbery cards vs Postol)

Hell of a resume at 140:
Miguel Vazquez (former IBF lightweight world champion)
Viktor Postol (former WBC super lightweight world champion)
Ivan Baranchyk (reigning IBF super lightweight world champion)
Regis Prograis (reigning WBA (Super) super lightweight world champion)
Jose Carlos Ramirez (reigning unified WBC and WBO super lightweight world champion)
Undisputed WBA (Super), WBA, IBF, WBO, The Ring, Lineal Super Lightweight World Champion
World Boxing Super Series Tournament Champion
Doesn't get much more complete than that. Took out three reigning champs in the division, one former champ in the division, and one former champ one division down on his way to completely unifying 140.
What a trash resume filled with b & c level fighters lol
”complete” oh boy
Hahaha are you one of those guys that discredits Canelos wins over Kovalev, Jacobs etc but now praises Taylor for beating C level Old guys like ancient Miguel Vasquez, C level Barychk, Postol ??? Lol
Taylor has yet to beat a great fighter or future HOF. Lol
Taylor goes life n death in a MD over Prograi who allot of people feel he lost too and edged Ramirez in a fight he held on to win just because of a KD.
The double standards are hilarious.
:haha::haha:

I agree absolutely with what you said. I think Spence would win but I thinks Taylor has a legit chance of beating him too. I do think Spence’s size would be the difference in the end.
imo I think Taylor and Crawford is 50-50 or 55-45 in Crawford’s favor. I’d love to see that fight.
I think the Crawford fight is more intriguing
140 to 147 is a big jump for some fighters, especially when fighting a bigger WW like Spence. But with Crawford being a former 140 champ, I think it makes that jump up
a bit easier for Taylor and not as much of a factor. It would just be down to if he’s good enough or not.
cant see why that fight cant happen. Both with the same promoter. Crawford needs a good fight and there’s nowhere else for Taylor to go at 140, everything from this point is a backwards step.
That’s how I scored it also 6 rounds to 6. With those two nasty knock down earning Taylor a clean win.
It was a good fight and a good win by Taylor. He is building himself a good resume for sure.
That was my first time really seeing him fight and he impressed me. In fact both fighters impressed me.
Imo I love Taylor’s chances against Crawford or Spence.
funnily enough, I don’t think Taylor and Spence are massively different stylistically. Both southpaws that can fight inside, outside, throw nice compact spiteful punches etc.. good feet when they need it, without being a dancer or runner. they share some similarities in how they approach fighting, I’ve always thought it.
that said, I think Spence would be too big and strong and overwhelm him. He’s a big welterweight.
Forgive my memory, as I don't remember the exact conversation... but I do remember you were always truthful and honest.
I am totally bias when it comes to JT, as he is the best Scottish boxer of my lifetime, and achieving things I didn't think possible... BUT, he has been thrown in the deep end and not had a chance to grow as a fighter, IMO. He's had 18 fights and is now undisputed at 140.
Taylor hasn't even peaked yet but I am worried for him. Throwing him in with Crawford in September is a big mistake... he needs two fights at 147 before stepping in with a P4P like Crawford.
I’ve always been a big Taylor fan myself, have travelled up to Scotland several times to watch him, always thought there was something special about him going back to the amateurs.
Completely agree on Crawford, that’s too much too soon IMO. I think Crawford is very special, so as much as a I rate Josh I can’t see him beating Crawford but you’re 100% right that Taylor should have one or two fights at 147 first to give him his best possible chance of winning.
I remember saying to you years back I thought he was the best fighter we’ve produced since Calzaghe. He’s on track to surpass Joe now.

The guy is fighting legit champions in his 15th and 17th fight... no boxer alive today or in history was facing this level of competition that early. Not Canelo, Not Mayweather... NO ONE!
People often forget or claim ignorance to that fact, but Josh Taylor is the number one boxer for fighting top opposition in the world, bar none.

Why didn’t Taylor finish him tho? /QUOTE]
Cause Kenny Bayless acted as human shield. :lol1:
Taylor won, you were wrong, just take your L and move on fella.
Absolutely, not once have I downplayed him or his achievements. I'm a Taylor fan just not for this fight as I am admittedly biased towards Ramirez.
Sorry if I implied that you did... I just look at Taylor as a risk-taker in the current boxing climate. He was tested early as a pro and has not had easy fights until that one-round KO. Muhammed Ali trophy and then one easy fight and goes over to the US, inactive.
You don't see ANY other boxer doing what Taylor does, after 18 fights. People are already matching him with Crawford and Teofimo Lopez, so he is P4P contender after 18 fights.
I am Scottish and really proud of Taylor. He is blasting through divisions and taking tough fight after tough fight.
Fair enough... Canelo and Floyd turned pro earlier. Mayweather was an Olympian amateur and had more schooling than JT, at an earlier age. Canelo turned pro at 15 and did not become one of the best until his late 20's. Maywetaher beat him in a totally one-sided fight, but to his credit that did not deter him.
Taylor won commonwealth gold in 2014 and then turned pro, and has already fought multiple champions and challengers after 2 years. Now he is going to Vegas and beating a legit champion in his backyard in his 18th fight, after beating Postol, Baranchyk and Prograis, and only fighting one round since Prograis in September 2019.
Taylor is a beast, like him or not, you HAVE to respect his achievements as a boxing fan - surely?

He turned pro late, the comparison between him and Floyd who turned pro at 19 or Canelo who turned pro at 15 doesn't make any sense at all.
Taylor is awesome and deserves all the credit in the world but using the number of fights argument is the same that Lomachenko fans use…. And it is flawed as it gets.

Lol although Ramirez is a humble warrior, and he is a warrior as he showed yesterday, he is just missing the little extra dog in him. And yet still, he won more rounds than Taylor yesterday and was robbed of the fight. Nevertheless, Ortiz is just a whole other beast...he has that dog in him and the skills, power, and body punching that will make Taylor fold like a lawn chair.:boxing:
I had Taylor winning by two points without the two knockdowns. Score should have been 116 Taylor - 110 Ramirez.
