Eddie Hearn visited the stadium yesterday
Fury also posted a pic of the stadium on his Instagram story. It wasn’t even a pic he took there it seems, just a random one. I know Fury is in Vegas now but seems a bit odd to post that photo on the same day Hearn flew to Vegas for a flying visit and went to the stadium
Hearn said there’s 5 or 6 sites interested but AJ confirmed there’s only been 1 official offer. Seeing as the other 4 or 5 haven’t actually put forward and official offer it seems, then it does seem like John Fury was right, nobody seems to be willing to put that money up at the moment and there’s no official offer flooding in from the Middle East.
that could mean the 1 offer was from Vegas. Unless Hearn and Fury are dropping hints of going to Vegas to speed up some offers from the Middle East.

And it just got announced like 2 days ago we are at 100% capacity on June 1. I'd assume the Saudi's tossing around more money so I kinda doubt Allegiant was in the running seriously.
It's inferred knowledge. They had offers from all the big players, think either Hearn/Eddie said Vegas had an offer in. They were angling for the Wilder Fury third fight for the allegiant stadium grand opening before corona came in.
Allegiant is getting a big boxing fight sooner than later. Canelo will probably get in first unless Fury AJ rematch somehow gets to Vegas. Don't think the money is there for it.
One of these fights will be in America, I would imagine Tyson Fury has made this as one of his mandatory requirements.
Both Fury & Joshua have places where they are comfortable other than the UK.
The Arabs seem to like Joshua.
They've accepted an offer from Saudi
They had an offer from Vegas Allegiant stadium which will be turned down after the Saudi contracts are signed, sealed and delivered.
Fury & Arum have been eyeing Allegiant for a while with their grand opening but Covid has messed everything up for Vegas.
I think the only thing Hearn has confirmed is that Allegiant isn't the option the sides have agreed on. But is still in play.
Which tells me there is still a way to go.
I just struggle to believe they'll go to the Middle East in July. It will be so hot it won't be possible for these guys to move.
If its such a harsh environment that the World Cup (biggest sporting event in the world) has to move date then boxing is no chance.
I think your UK numbers are fine, but I think your US numbers are high & optimistic. I don't think AJ vs Fury does 400k buys in the afternoon & 800k in primetime. Had to look it up but looks like Fury vs Wilder II did around 800k buys. There is a zero percent chance AJ vs Fury reaches that same number. Wilder is massively more known in the US than AJ. Probably cutting both those numbers in half are more in line with what I could see. I still talk to boxing fans who don't know who tf AJ is & those that do know him know him as the guy who got KO'd or quit vs a late sub fat guy.
That said it's all a mute point anyway cuz I suspect the site fee wins the day & that would lean towards them still being able to maintain the 2nd biggest pot of money, the UK PPV.
Maybe I was too optimistic on the US numbers but the fight promotion of that would stateside would be pretty crazy. Would be on ESPN daily and having an undisputed showdown will create a lot of buzz. But either way, point was there is a chance they can still make more money with the fight in the US opposed to the UK.
I expect one of the Middle East countries will end up finalizing a deal and the first fight takes place there.
The fight is so big in the UK that I honestly don’t think it would do much harm to the sales having it at that time.
Floyd vs Manny still did big sales and Floyd v McGregor too, So I’m more than certain people would watch AJ versus Fury at any hour of the day in the UK.
The whole UK and their grandma’s would be awake at 4am for this. They (Those proper casuals) would see us boxing fans would experience, when it comes to watching American scheduled fights.
I think a UK PPV does much better revenue than a US PPV for this fight. To most US fans AJ is the guy who got KO'd by a fat guy & Tyson wasn't doing crazy numbers in the US when he was here.
I don't recall the Wilder vs Fury PPV numbers, but they were under 1M buys as I recall. And AJ isn't selling a US PPV more than Wilder did let's be real. This fight in the UK is breaking PPV records there so I think that's something like 2.5M to 3M buys.
So here is what you have to compare, how much it sells in the UK in primetime opposed to at 4 am with the $30 dollar price point opposed to how much it sells in the US in the afternoon opposed to at primetime at $80 dollars a buy.
Hypothetical with both figures:
UK primetime - 2.5M buys at $35 dollars = $87,500,000
UK early morning - 1.8M buys at $35 dollars = $63,000,000
US afternoon - 400k buys at $80 dollars = $32,000,000
US primetime- 800k buys at $80 dollars = $64,000,000
I don't think these estimates are anything crazy but you can see how you can still make more off the PPV being in the US at prime time. And that isn't even to mention the gates which are wayyyyyyyy higher in the US due to the prices.
Now, if you can get a freaking 9 figure site fee in the Middle East, that's obviously a game changer. But if the Middle East is not an option, then I think for this particular fight that it may make more sense taking place in the US.
This fight belongs in the UK
its a culturally significant event for the nation
the US can have the sloppy seconds rematch. Bonus if the rematch is actually warranted
I'd love that news to be true, but I highly doubt it's a fight that would end up anywhere in the US due to both guys being UK guys, the time zone requirements that you need to have this fight work within to get all the PPV buys it'll get in the UK & the site fee others would offer as a one time event for such a impactful fight.
I suspect Eddie & Tyson are just good at hype & social media is why they posted the stadium instead of a picture of the mgm lion.
Aren't UK PPV prices cheap compared to the US? That might give the edge to having it in US primetime where you would get a fair amount of people paying $80 for the PPV.
Isn't Fury associated with ESPN too, they can get a big buildup on the network.
Ideally they'd do one fight in the UK and one in the US, whatever order is fine.
Having said that at this point I wouldnt be too bothered if its on the fucking moon as long as it actually gets booked.

That's why I think you are just fine losing the primetime slot in the UK.
You make up for it with a higher PPV revenue stateside. Still get good international money with DAZN putting it on everywhere minus the UK where it will be on Sky Sports PPV.
If the fight is in the UK or the Middle East, does Arum put it on PPV stateside? That will be interesting to see and will love to see the type of numbers it will do.
I just want the fight made already and announced. This is holding up the HW division and no one is making a move until this fight either gets made or doesn't. Kind of like how Canelo is holding up the SMW division as none of the candidates to face him want to take on a tough fight in the mean time.
Fight being in Vegas would be dope!
You lose out on the prime time UK PPV slot, but you get the US PPV money plus it will still do big numbers in the UK despite it being on at 4 or 5 am.
Make it happen!!!

I would love that. Live in driving distance of Vegas would definitely love to go. They could sell that place out easily. Think this fight needs to happen in Vegas but I’m not sure it does. Hearn’s pretty good at getting huge site fee’s by creating competition.
I don’t see the fight happening next but this would be a good option as it’s accessible to UK fans and we can actually enjoy ourselves over in Vegas. Nobody wants to travel to morally backward places like Saudi Arabia.
Ideally I’d love it to be in the UK as it’s the only chance we’ve ever had to host a genuine global super fight but if not Vegas would be my second choice.
