Never has there been a roster of boxers in the history of the sport that can be considered "overrated"...."divas"...."duckers"...."Instag ram and Twitter fighters" than we have with this CURRENT crop of fighters from top to bottom......add the fact that the women fighters would rather have you look at their chest than their body of work inside the ring and that truly makes it a sad time for hardcore boxing fans like myself. I'm so disappointed in the sport of boxing right now.....where did we go wrong and when exactly did this change occur? And what can we as fans do to try and fix this mess because boxing may be where the money is but the eyes of the world are not on boxing right now...and for good reason.
Incorrect. Times are great now. So much choice in what to do. It's not like the olden days where millions tune in to watch Mike Tyson fight Cocoon McNealy like it was a competitive fight. LMAO. I'd beat the cocoon no problem. Good times now. Take off the nostalgic glasses and embrace it. As much as I love watching Tyson get Bustered up by Douglas, time has moved on. Forget Chicken Bowe, and Evan Fields. Live in the now.
There are 4 things that currently ruin boxing: WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO.. Get rid of the belts and promoters no longer have a job. No belts mean that promoters can't pay off these sanction body presidents to rank and protect their fighters. That also mean no more "crossing the street" bs from opposite promoters
Fox will follow suit eventually. It's inevitable. It's gotten to a point where it's become too expensive to make meaningful fights happen.
Yep. With nothing much going on in boxing, Fox would most likely go back to covering UFC again.
Yeah boxing is an absolute joke right now. And it's a shame because we had several years of good fights and new stars emerging now it's stagnant. It's do bad I went back to watching the ufc, where the top guys still fight each other and big fights actually get made. Their is nothing on the current boxing schedule even remotely intriguing.
Not so long ago there were real fans who appreciated skill and ability above all else, not which country the boxer came from or what race he was or how he rated on social media. See the difference to now, it's obvious even here on this forum, anyone who has a keyboard has an opinion, no IQ or maturity required.
I agree, and miss the 80s boxers. I miss 15 round fights... I’m just old... I loved watching haggler smash minter and beer bottles were thrown at him . I miss going to fights with my dad....

nobody will fight each other lol. except (some) of the heavies and a select few others. bunch of bums. boxing is paralysed
Showtime just added MMA to their programming.
The boxing hosts and commentators are forced to talk about MMA and interview fighters.
Must be excruciating to do.

Starting to not care as much, plenty of other sports to really enjoy, boxing just 1 of the sports I love but I'm a Hardcore Sports Fans so I watch other stuff too
Boxing will just continue its Free Fall with Casual Fans and Casuals will turn to MMA or they will tune into to see Legends or Social Media Influences and not give a DAMN about these Current Crop of Professional Fighters
I can't think of any solution doe.
The way to enjoy boxing nowadays is just to pray for upsets.
You jump with joy every time the underdog lands big shots on the guy
who keeps on taking these meaningless fights.

Whether his fangirls like to admit it or not its froids fault. His fear of losing his 0 and diva attitude inspired his fellow AA fighters to be more cherrypickers than before
Isn't that dude gone secondly who cares what these "AA" fighters do, they don't fight and they get forgotten once they lose. Barking about Floyd won't mean d!ck since Andre Ward was also fighting and so was Tim Bradley.
