No. They **** talked before. Not sure Taylor can beat Barrios. Josh Taylor is so overrated and someone like Davis would expose his ass.
Behave...
Taylor murders that Barrios, and he’s far too big for Tank.
Taylor’s unquestionably a highly skilled fighter, he can fight inside, outside, great punch repertoire, power in both hands. I’d strongly advise you watch Taylor-Prograis, that’s was a high level fight between two world class fighters.
A lower top ten. All I wanted was for Tank to test himself and stop bringing up guys in weight. No reason for me to move the goal post just to complain.
Fair enough man. I would have preferred to see him face Fortuna but at least people can’t complain about him dragging featherweights up or anything like that.
Surely, 140 is Tank's ceiling weight based on his height etc. I know he has power for not sure he's dynamic enough in any other way to succeed higher than 140.
Boxing never disappoints. another trash fight nobody asked for
I'd consider this fight a present as a big Davis fan if it happens. I'm tired of the twitter talkers. I hope Davis never mentions them again.
Who buzzed or kinda buzzed Tank? I don't remember that. Imma have to go back & check that out.
Cruz landed a couple of shiners. He didn't even feel Pedraza's punches.
Floyd talk about this somewhere? Randomly Floyd needs a fooking podcast. Everyone & their grandma gots a podcast these days & Floyd don't got one.
And if the plan IS to fight Barrios to get a feel for 140 & then fight Josh I'll be a lot more forgiving of this who gives a fook (imo) Barrios fight, but I still feel like its a easy belt grab or that will be the story after Josh vs Tank isn't makeable cuz of different platform politics &/or Josh moving up.
This is me adding one and one and analyzing how someone like Floyd would think, seeing the landscape. The landscape is money fights only. Look up and down divisions. Why waste time with belts and their mandatories? When was the last time Davis had a mandatory? Nobody really gives a crap about belts when you are already a big name.
The Taylor thing: I think it all started when someone compared the UK Davies to Gervonta Davis. Somehow, Taylor and Davis exchanged some heated words around that time. They don't like each other. Floyd's presence at the Joshua fight was also not for nothing. I think he was gauging the UK fans.
Barrios would smoke Tank, that fight ain't happening
I don't know about smoke but he'll be in a fight as long as it lasts. Gervonta's chin is solid. Never put down and hardly buzzed. He has fun in the ring. No punches wasted. Rewatch the Pedraza fight. It's worth it. Every round is action packed.
Isn't Josh talking about moving to 147 post-JCR? Even if he doesn't move up immediately I suspect its coming in short order not unlike Teo's move to 140. I'd assume there is a tiny window to make this fight. And Josh vs Tank in the UK seems odd to me. Is Josh THAT popular in the UK? Is Josh selling out now?
Well, Taylor is overrated in the UK, and his fans will eat anything. I think he's a big name in Ireland and the UK. With the addition of Davis, you have a big event. UK fans are familiar with Davis. Floyd seems to want to explore that side of the pond. In the US, Taylor is virtually unknown.
Now you’re just making stuff up to justify skipping over a stacked division to fight a stiff who has picked up a vacant title.
if Tank was the sort of fighter to fight a guy like Taylor, I think we’d have seen some signs of that before now.

Taylor beats the **** out of Tank. I mean, sorry to interrupt your conversation but Tank has no chance in that fight at all.
I'd like to find out. Other than size, Taylor is basic.
Tank looks like 135 is his max weight. Not that he couldn't do something dumb and be undisciplined enough to blow up much bigger than that but dimensions wise he probably shouldn't venture up much further.
With his built, power, and athleticism, I'd say his ceiling is welter. He'll be strong at 140.
Thanks for bring up Taylor. If the Barrios fight happens, the next target is Taylor, if he wins his fight. Otherwise, he'll go down to 135. Barrios is kinda tough tune up. There's bad blood between Davis and Taylor. I don't think the Barrios fight is for nothing. Floyd wants to have that fight in the UK. Another fight that will sell a stadium there.

Who says he's too small for 135?!?!?!
And I'd argue JCR or Josh would be tougher fights at 140. Zepeda would probably be tougher. Hell Teo ain't even fought at 140 yet & I think he'd be tougher.
