Lmao I’m a Haney fan but ain’t that the truth The irony behind all of this is until about a year or so ago, I was really big on Haney

context: devin haney doesn't like that loma ducked him, didn't give him the opporunity etc by going for the franchise and thus harming haney's reputation when he was 'awarded' the wbc email belt. so of course i can understand haney not wanting to fight loma now. it's more a point of principle. haney and his promoter have openly been chasing ryan garcia and lopez, the guy who beat the guy..so how can you assume haney is scared of loma? It wasn't right for Loma to duck him then, andit isn't right for Devin to dismiss Loma as an opponent now. At least Loma was a top p4p fighter and multi-weight champion with plenty of people willing to fight him when he bypassed Haney. Devin on the other hand is begging his mandatory to fight him and has yet to secure a big name to fight him. He might as well check if Loma is serious and try to make him pay by beating him.

Loma fought Campbell FOR the WBC belt. It wasn’t a defense. and again, it’s not just Loma. Haney isn’t fighting any of them. Loma fought Campbell FOR the WBC belt. It wasn’t a defense. and again, it’s not just Loma. Haney isn’t fighting any of them. All four of them are talking like they’re king of the sport when only one of them has a good win. Sounds like the only one Haney wasn't willing to fight any more is Loma. Teo got the Loma fight because they're both part of the Top Rank stable. Ryan Garcia is Haney's mandatory but is holding out for fights that aren't happening.

I am 100% sure that Loma would win against all of them, including a rematch with Teofimo (I can run away from the rematch faster than a jet) Lopez. That’s an awful lot of confidence in someone who’s lost 15% of his fights. Loma is good but he’s clearly nowhere near unbeatable.

Haney told Kellerman that no one needs to fight Loma because he lost. I think Loma losing a close decision is hardly enough to eliminate him for title contention, especially because Haney will end up fighting someone who is lower ranked than Loma. Loma came back from his loss to Salido, so Loma deserves to continue fighting these top guys at 135. Haney would fight Gamboa coming off a stoppage loss, but he won't fight Loma coming off a decision loss. That’s what happens when you’re high risk. Your fellow fighters ask you to do things they don’t care if a low risk fighter has done or not. It is done by a lot of fighters and it’s old. Fighters just won’t admit that the other fighter is a high risk fight that they rather avoid. Haney saying Lomachenko lost his last fight is a poor excuse. Especially considering Lomachenko would be by far the best fighter he has ever fought. And also, Haney’s resume stinks.
