So say Top Rank offered him the 2 million and he turns it down like he said he will, what better options are out there for Shaun?
Who is going to offer him a title fight?
Who would he choose to fight that would see him offerered more?
Personally I don't see any current viable options for him that can match those criteria. So to me it makes no sense to turn down 2 million Dollars. Its a good offer, not great offer but as far as I can see there are no better options.
In which case I'm not sure how it would be proof that either Bob or Terrence are trying to duck this Porter fight. Clearly the 2 they really want would be Spencer or Pacquiao but if neither of those are guna happen.
How does Khan get $5 million though? From Top Rank?
That said, I guess it was never an offer anyway. In cases where the other guy is perceived as th A-side, the B-Side in a big fight should always counter for whatever amount they are offering OR 65% of the A-side purse .... whichever is greater.
I'm sure he can get $2 Million fighting Abduqaxorov or Custio Clayton or Jamal James honestly and all those are Decent options. Bigger Option and even more money? Jump Up to 154 and challenge Jermall Charlo!
I mean his listed purse for Formella was Minimum $1 Million Guaranteed so he is not some fighter that is desperate for just any Payday
In Bob case since he doesn't want to spend much then maybe he need to look over to younger fighters like Boots Ennis and Vergil Ortiz who haven't made big money yet. I'm sure both would jump all over $1 Million Flat at this point in their Careers if offered
Porter can fight me and he will still get a Million. I don`t get your point.
Porter can fight nobodies and he can make a good money, he doesn`t have to take 2 millions for Crawford fight.
Why is it under paying him based on earnings from previous fights? Getting the chance to fight for a belt for similar money he was earning when he was a world champion himself doesn't sound so bad.
Has uncle Al been paying him what he is worth? I don't see where he is taking such a massive pay cut here.
If he isn't worth that much fighting anybody else how do you figure he is worth so much?
This is one of those fights where the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts.
This fight will generate interest and money on ppv even both guys are not big Ppv stars.
Porter can’t take an amount that comes out to anything less than 45%, given Crawford is the champ and should get a little more imo.
I hate this contract talk, but **** it, I'll bite.
Crawford made 3 mil to fight Spence as a champion, on PPV, with a packed arena (Pre Covid)
2 mil is appropriate given the circumstances.
besides crawford, who else can porter fight and get 2 mil from?
if porter doesn't fight bud next and someone else, he better be getting more than 2 mil or he'd look like an idiot.
I don’t know who he is going to fight next but I don’t know why you want him to take a deal that clearly is underpaying him.
Your basic point is Crawford is offering the most so he should take it, even though we know taking that offer would be a stupid financial move.

When did Porter say he'd turn down 2 mil? (I think Porter will take what is provably fair as in based on prior fights) I don't think Crawford wants that fight until he gets Pac or Spence(too risky for safety 1st Bud)
He said it during his podcast a few weeks ago. Something along the lines of that's what Brook made and he's bigger than Brook and also a PPV draw, so 2 mill wouldn't do it for him

All I know is Kenny Porter had recent conversations with TR personnel and the fight is still being negotiated. Arum said option #1 for Crawford is Pacquiao and if they can't make that fight then they will make the Porter fight.
The 2M quote was from damn near a month ago, nothing recent. So Porter's first option needs to be Crawford and second option is the Spence rematch.

Duckford is a idiot. Porter should take the $2 mil tho!!!
He may as well he's not guna get a title fight off anybody else and he isn't going to earn more off anybody else either and with Crawford he gets both.
There is always a chance that Porter doesn't actually want the fight and this is just an attempt by another PBC fighter to try to make Crawford look bad. Thurman came out of nowhere and started having a whine at Arum too and Spence is staying well clear of anything regarding Crawford as usual.
I think this is just a crusade to try to downplay Bud and his worth any opportunity they can.
