This is what he told Ring Magazine about the 250K PPV number (Truth vs Swift fight) as reported by Coppinger:
Bob Arum:
“We know approximately, they’ll be lucky to get 120,000. We’ve just gotten to the point where the numbers being used are not realistic. They don’t reflect reality. Remember, this is the Trump era. People are willing to say anything, and people will believe it. But to be so off is crazy. The Athletic has the Donald Trump of sports reporters!”
So Arum's numbers are real but PBC's are fake?
Ok buddy. Whatever you have to tell yourself. :lol1:
If you are going to fake numbers you would inflate them. Not come out and deflate your numbers.... Get it genius?
Yes he does. I thought it was about Free Boxing. But you were just in it for the Premier Black Champions. The idea that PBC is anything other than a colossal failure would be asinine. Yet you still defend it life and death. Is it cause Al Haymon is black?
So Arum's numbers are real but Haymon's are fake because he happens to be black? What exactly are you trying to say?
How is PBC a colossal failure if they are getting more eyeballs on FOX than 99% of the fighters on ESPN or DAZN?
You say I defend them life and death yet I get crap for questioning what stars PBC has created without Oscar. If I'm upsetting you extremists on both sides then I'm probably doing something right. The truth hurts.
These guys are out here thumping for Haymon like others thump for Trump.
You know that sh**t's real. Blacks have been slurping Haymon on this forum for a decade. Trump supporters didn't even exist yet. I wonder where they learned their techniques from. :lol1:
You must be a Trumptard.........
Bob Arum is a huge liar. Precisely why he knows the truth.
Why would you even expect huge numbers when only a handful of so-called hardcore fans here buys PPVs? I won't even believe 50,000 people bought the fight. Especially now that most people are always able to find ways to watch it for free.
He's right the pay-per-view business model is dead. With services like YouTube and Snapchat people just aren't buying anymore and have very little reason to.
I think Arum is at a point now where he doesn’t give a toss anymore. He openly came out and said he is losing money on Crawford. He open release his numbers, so maybe he is bitten by the truth serum or something.
We know PBC inflate their numbers that they give to their “Sources” for Coppinger. And it’s because they have rival promotions and networks in America.
Hence why they seem very reluctant to work with any other promotional outfit. Because the real numbers would be seen by their rivals, when they worked with ESPN for the Wilder/Fury rematch they knew they were working together to get rid of Joshua. So unless that scenario happens again we would never see their main fighters doing that again.

Arum inflates his numbers too. That's why he knows.

The fighters would know the true PPV numbers if they're getting a percentage of the PPV revenue right? Or maybe they think they're owed money if the reports say there were more PPV buys than their pay would suggest?
Bob Arum's PPV numbers for Crawford vs Khan must be fake and inflated too then.
Which means that card was even more of a colossal flop than we thought it was.

I do think Networks Inflate Numbers up to make them look respectable BUT I also think Arum frustrated because ESPN has shut down PPV for HIM because Crawford vs Khan lost so much money. Also think money was lost on Fury with Wilder vs Fury II not even breaking 1 Million despite having FOX promote it during the Super Bowl as well as ESPN Promoting it
No problem with PPV's but stack the Card and make sure Main Event is worth it. Arum doesn't have a In House Fight he can make at the moment that would do even good PPV Numbers so ESPN clearly tighten HIS BUDGET and he don't have the Freedom he thought he would. If He did then he would be doing just as much PPV's if not MORE.

I've been saying for years. When the PBC mention their PPV numbers halve it for a more accurate total. They never release facts they always push out rumoured numbers "somewhere around" or "up to" a certain amount and then let ppl go spread the word as if its fact.
But, Arum is a sleazy turd who can't be trusted either. He constantly lies and literally says anything he wants no matter how far off the mark.
Boxing USA. Its a fkking soap opera.
