I know a lot of people are anxious to see Berlanga step up his level of opposition so how do you think he does against the following at 168:
1. Anthony Dirrell
2. Daniel Jacobs
3. David Lemieux
4. John Ryder
5. Gabe Rosado
6. Rocky Fielding
a lot of those are too big of a step up. He needs rounds against guys who are crafty but have non threatening offense first.
Would like to see him against Ronald Ellis, Vaughn Alexander, Ryan Ford, Roamer Angulo kind of guy first.
Fielding gets blasted out though.
Ryan Ford would be a good one. He's still mad he has a KO on his record from the Buatsi low blow so maybe he'd like to legitimately get KO'd?
The Ukranian guy Lemieux fought, Maksym Bursak seems tough as hell too and never been stopped. Dropped Lemieux a couple times himself also, so he doesn't just come to survive or roll over.

I think that Ronald Ellis and Roamer Angulo would be perfect. Angulo just went 10 rounds with David Benavidez so he would provide a good gauge for where Berlanga is skill-wise.
Although I think he beats everyone on that list , like someone else said other then Ricky those are really big step up fights think he should take 2 or 3 fights around the Rocky , JJC JR level before jumping in against those guys.
Yeah I think Rocky Fielding would be a good test. He's not a world-beater, however I would expect him to at least make it out of the first round since he went a few rounds with Canelo.

Unbeaten Steven Nelson.
