He did the right thing by vacating. Good for him. He has outgrown 160 and will never fight below 168 so why hang on to middleweight titles he won't be defending? Canelo is going after all the world titles at 168. If Jermall won a belt at 168 Canelo would fight him.

Canelo talks about every fighter from 160 and 168 like they’re nameless. He honestly has reached the point where it’s just a body across from him. If you listen to his interviews he’s completely indifferent at this point. He’s created so much separation after GGG that the guys left from 160 are literally the bottom half of the top 5 from when he was there. He’s dialed in and chasing undisputed and it’s the same for him whoever holds the title at 168. Charlo isn’t even on his radar at this point. He’s mentioned it.
