Parker’s only 28yrs old. He’s already been a champion and shared the ring with likes of Joshua, Whyte and Ruiz Jr.
The fight against Ruiz was closely contested. The loss against whyte was controversial due to the headbutt and Parker arguably came out looking better. And the fight against Joshua left a lot more to be desired.
Assuming Parker has 10-12 more years left at the top, how much farther can he achieve? Can he become a champion again? Or perhaps even a unified champ?
How do you see the following fights going:
Rematch vs Joshua.
Rematch vs Whyte.
Vs Wilder.
Vs Fury.
Vs Povetkin.
Vs Joe Joyce.
Vs Usyk.
Vs Luis Ortiz.
Seems like a nice guy, has good skills and an excellent chin. Already has a marquee win in a close decision over Ruiz Jr. After the close loss to Whyte I was in no doubt that they'd have a rematch later in their careers and I'm still of the the same opinion. I think Parker is the type of guy that would get in the ring with any of the top guys if the deal was right for him. Also has a country (albeit small population) behind him. I can see him picking up a vacant title once they inevitably get splintered.
He isn't beating AJ or Fury. I can see him boxing well against Wilder before being clipped, maybe he could eek out a decision however as he does have a very good chin. Usyk would struggle against him but I think would get the decision.
Wilder, Usyk, Ruiz Jr II, Povetkin, Whyte II, Ortiz, Hunter, Joyce, Yoka, Hrgovic.
That's 10 fights right there outside of the current title-holders that I'd be interested in Parker taking and he has a chance at winning all of them. If he can get most of those fights with most of them going his way then he'd be remembered as the 'best of the rest' of this era behind Fury, AJ and Wilder.
I think similar to Chisora's role. Very similar level.
Rematch vs Joshua. Wide points/late stoppage loss
Rematch vs Whyte. Close points loss, though winable
Vs Wilder. Knocked out
Vs Fury. Wide points/late stoppage loss
Vs Povetkin. Close points win(style-wise an aging Povetkin is a good chance for him)
Vs Joe Joyce. (close points loss, but more competitive than people may think right now - winable.
Vs Usyk. Close points loss - winable
Vs Luis Ortiz. Close points loss - winable

He has gone as far as he can he won't ever win a world title again. He was very lucky first time. He has done nothing since he lost to Whyte to make me think he will
I dunno. I think Parker may have hit his ceiling. He's top 10 guy and has a chance to beat anyone on a given night not name Tyson Fury.
- -Who?
Oh, the guy with 2 Ring belts and ZER0 title defenses...yeah, right!

- -He don't have 10-12.
He can beat most with another title, but AJ is the record setting heavy of this era.
When you are getting beat by Shyte (Bum) you cannot really go far can you? He is probably at his level right now, fighting bums and dancing on social media. He was lucky with the Ruiz fight where he ran most of the time and got the hometown UD.

Parker is a good fighter and actually is capable of beating any of those on his day.
I think he would struggle with AJ based on the first performance because of Joshua’s ability to box both and have power. He may lose to fury for a similar reason (more weighted to being outboxed).
Would love to see him against any of the other four
I think he'll be a champion again. He's more than good enough to pick up a vacant. Probably not enough of a star to pick off a weak champion.
He's a likeable guy too. Could be marketed.
He lacks strength and charisma necessary for being a long run HW champion. He will end IMO as a man whom is good to beat before a belt battle for new stars of HW.
