Joshua vs Fury is the biggest fight in British boxing history. It is arguably the biggest heavyweight fight of the last 20 years at-least.
Would an undefeated Joshua vs undefeated Wilder have been a bigger fight?
Wilder vs Joshua had the undefeated american vs undefeated british champion narrative behind it. Both fighters were known for their knockouts and power based styles. And the fanbase was pretty hot for it before Andy Ruiz and Fury derailed the hype train.
Wilder v Joshua always felt massive. Can you imagine those two coming out of the corner against each other?
Two big hitters. Two undefeated Champions. US v UK. Vegas half full of Brits. It would have been a crazy fight.
But they missed their chance. I don't think Fury v Joshua will ever be quite as exciting, although I'm sure some Brits will disagree (I'm an exiled Brit).
Obviously I still can't wait for it! It's a more interesting fight for boxing fans. Predicting how the styles play out is almost impossible. I think Wilder v Joshua had more casual appeal as it was pretty simple - someone was getting knocked out.
Wilder could've been huge if he defeated Fury, doesn't matter how terrible his boxing skills are, an American HW KO is pretty much the pinnacle in terms of marketability. Fury is big and goofy with pillow fists, they've done well in terms of building up his rep in the US, but he's still a foreigner. Joshua and Fury is a huge fight on the Island, but Joshua vs Wilder would've been huge globally.
Big facts the media wouldve reported on there ko streaks ect different countries champs multi defense. While wilder vs fury didnt sale 1m aj vs wilder would have. As for which wouldve sold more aj vs wilder for aj vs fury is 2 brits that if they fought in the uk or such this fights not selling above 500k n if in vegas im thinking 750k comparable wilder vs fury numbers. Neither boxer is huge with hispanic base which truthfully in america is half your fanbase for the sport.
We Hispanics love Fury. Who lied to you?
Tyson Furia

Joshua Wilder would have been bigger across the globe yes (especially in America). It would have been even bigger had Wilder properly defeated Fury and AJ defeated Ruiz ( it would have been at a fever pitch).
