Will anyone give credit to McGregor for winning 3-4 rounds vs Mayweather while other all-time greats performed worse than Mayweather?
McGregor 3-4 rounds won
Pacquiao 2-3 rounds won
Canelo 1 round won
Mosley 1 round won
JMM 0 rounds won
Punches landed:
McGregor 111 (in 9 rounds)
Canelo 117
Mosley 92
Pacquiao 81
JMM 69
Why was McGregor having success while these all-time greats were getting schooled by Mayweather?
Mayweather never put McGregor to the ground. He had an inexperienced fighter who was exhausted, getting clear shots to his undefended head and he still couldn't put him down.
Stop it. Im not even a floyd fan at all but anyone with a brain could see floyd just walked him down stayed in front of him and just let him punch himself out before he actually let his hands go. He ate Connors best shots like nothing and kept walking him down with a high guard fighting nothing like he usually does. Btw when is the last time floyd had stopped anyone without counting Victor ortiz?

Hols on. Mayweather didn't even Knockout McGregor. How can yall say Mayweather had him when he still couldn't knocked down a visibly exhausted fighter?

huh? He didn't march forward in the first 3 rounds man
He didnt even move his head. Mayweather just stood in front of him. McGregor had ZERO power in boxing gloves. Mayweather eyeing another payday stringing it out.
Put McGregor in with Canelo. End this bs for good.
Highlight reel KO
If you cough hard enough, you may be able to dislodge floid’s dlck from your throat
That's all you can conjure up? Damn, I was expecting something more creative with some semblance of intellect, but I get some IQ deficient kiddy crap. You are trash, little one.

He didn’t knock him out? Hmmm I must have saw the wrong fight that night. I swear I saw mcgregor get stopped. I may be wrong. I’ll check later.
So what does that tell you? One of the best defensive boxers of all time marched forward without punching....
huh? He didn't march forward in the first 3 rounds man
lol how do you know this????
mcgregor is underrated as a fighter
Because I watched the fight and Mayweather was coming forward without much care of getting hit?
It's actually easy to notice and you can see his plan worked since he basically made Connor burn himself up while Floyd barely put any thought into the fight.
If Connor is that underrated as a boxer he should purse a fight against Canelo and stop trying to fight undersized past prime boxers.
Not a mayweather fan at all but he simply just let him punch himself out before he decided to throw any punches. Anyone with a brain knew this was gonna end in a ko. Mcgregir wouldn’t even beat Shane Mosley right now.

I don't think canelo won a single round, and pacquiao only won 1 round. As for conor, floyd was carrying him in case you don't know. Floyd could easily shut him out and dominate him if he wanted to.
Mayrunner didn't 'carry' s_hit. Stop making up excuses for why he looked like s_hit

Respect lol, you mean shows how he handled a 25lbs handicap, he walked him down with no respect.
That's what I said..it's showed his respect for conor...which was obviously none
Because Floyd wanted Conor to gas so he could get the ko
Others where to risky for that game
Shows his respect for conor really

Mayweather actually had to defend himself against all of the others.
Against McGregor he just marched forward knowing he faced zero power.
But he didn't even throw a punch the first 3 rounds
Macgregor isnt a boxer yet is a real fighter who happened fight under boxing rules by doing such fought very unorthodox so was akward to figure out though add in that mayweather knew by conor performances he most likely staunches u early or gas out half way if going the distance. So whether the storm for 6 let em tire out then take over. Another reason ppl forget for mayweather success which is why mcgregor had succees in fight mcgregor held reach advantange n slight height. Norm mayweather holds atleast a reach advantage over opps
Good post
Honestly I think it was a combination of Floyd's age (old), Conor's age (prime), Conor's unorthodox style (lefty, different/special type of fighter anyway, also no tape on him to study as a boxer), and Conor's size (probably the biggest guy Floyd ever fought). Floyd didn't know what he was looking at the first 3 rounds and was being cautious and trying to find an opening.
Rounds 4-9 he was the better boxer but you could argue Conor won 2 of those rounds. He certainly won the first 3 and at least 1 more. He was in the fight on the cards, or should have been.
I don't buy the angle that Floyd carried him. I think he was legitimately surprised and cautious early, and also probably knew Conor would struggle with stamina late. He didn't want to do much early because Conor's best chance to win, because of his sh.it stamina ironically, was hurting Floyd early.
Needless to say - I was shocked to see Conor McGregor outboxing Floyd 3-0 in the first 3 rounds. One of the strangest things I've ever seen in the ring, regardless of what the reason was.
