Sure. But we also do know (especially from the video at the front of this thread) that Bob Arum isn't in the business of paying much more than that.
Now, if Crawford were at PBC? I'd fully agree with everyone here that the money would go much higher, but that's because PBC isn't going to give Crawford guaranteed $3 million for any fight until and unless he beats someone with a pulse.
I'm talking about IF Bob Arum is to make the fight happen, and we just heard him say the most he'd offer is $1 million, of course smart money is a purse bid, but if Porter wanted to pull the Top Rank card, he'd pull a Floyd/De La Hoya and say "whatever you guys want, I'm taking the WBO regardless".
THAT is what I really want to see from every fighter - accept B-Side to be great.
porter aint accepting no b-side to be great though...hes already fought 5 guys that are better than buds best win lol...he doesnt need to try to prove himself again for less money...hes been through most of the top WWs in the division....
The bottom line is, Porter accepted $1 million guarantee for a fight. There's precedence.
Split is a separate negotiation.
People here are making it out like Porter wouldn't accept a low guarantee if it meant he got a really good split. I'm saying he has and would. He's not as money driven as the rest, he wants to be known as a great.
It's not like Crawford who SAYS he does but then openly prices himself out of a Manny and Spence fight. That's not seeking greatness, that's money hungry, like everyone else besides Porter and maybe Ugas.
porter aint taking no 1-2 mil for a bud fight though....i like porter and all and believe hes probably less about the money than most but he still is.....trust me..im on your side as far as bud and his issues....i just dont think bringing up porters 1 mil purse # from an old fight means anything....you know porter took home more than that for the fight you referenced
i think keith recently said in some interview he told them to send a offer or contract and he would be willing to negotiate it.
so im guessing nothing was sent to keith
Keith was sent an offer (twice). The second time is when the supposed 10 mil was asked. Keith says he didn’t ask for 10 mil (and that he never asks for a number) but that he did ask “how much are you willing to put out?” and that it’s “always negotiable”.
Bob just says anything. As much as he dislikes Trump he's like him in the I'll say fooking anything way.
I don't buy that Keef asked for $10M. Any word on how much Keef says he wanted or how much he was offered?
And no fooking way Showtime Shawn takes $1M for Bud nor should he. Purse bid that sh^t. Hell a third party like DAZN might swoop in on that if PBC & Bob are in a lowball war.

From the vid I saw of Thurman explaining himself, maybe he came across poorly with how it was worded, but that number didn’t fall out of the sky and obviously TR took it as a joke and broke negotiations.
Thurman said “I didn’t ask for 10 mil, I asked how much are you willing to out out?”
Bob Arum is a lying piece of shyte. He literally will say anything he wants to say no matter how big of a lie it may be. I think Deontay Wilder needs to DNA test this guy. He could be his father.
Too bad he's not telling the truth about Thurman.
AS far as Shawn, if a serious offer were made for 1-2 million he would take it.
Unfortunately....
So my takeaway from this is, Arum wants to make the fight, we know Spence would take the money offered, so the only reason that fight hasn't happened is Crawford's ducking.
shawn WOULD NOT take 1 mil to fight bud lol....and we all know thurman didnt ask for 10....i think everyone with any sense knew that was flat out BS
thats exactly what ive been telling these suckers...bob cant afford to pay any of the pbc guys their fair market value to bring them over to espn....hell only do it on a steep discount....hell gladly co-promote a big ppv fight with haymon...but he cant afford to bring over any of those guys at their fair market value for a bud fight
